Hello, all !!!
Well, I don't wish to appear any dumber than I actually am, but I've recently installed Golden Wings and all is running well EXCEPT the scenery - I thought I had every scenery object known to man, but some of the GW scenery has lots of pesky grey columns: Akron around the Blimp Hangar, all around both Key Largo locations, some others. Is there a specific download or group of downloads someone can suggest that I may have just missed??? (Yes, I really do have every Object for FS9 and have no problems - I've moved ALL those objects to GW and all default scenery works well. I really tried to follow the directions, download GW scenery objects and files, but I still have the grey verticle polygons all over the place!!!)
Many thanx,
Stew

Hi Stew, Don't know what's causing this problem (can you attach a screenshot?) but I thought the post would be best served in the GW3 support forum.
Regards,
Roger.

Sounds like you are missing Gerrish Gray's Trees
Look for trees_v3.zip at Avsim

Many thanx for the replies - the short answer is that I reinsrtalled all the texture files, then removed them from \individual airport\texture and put them all intp \addon scenery\textures. I must have missed a couple of files, because as soon as I started AFTER rthe reinstall/movement of texture files, everything worked just GREAT - and yes, they were, as we all suspected, trees!
I usually like to keep all the scenery for a given airport/city/region/etc in its ouw set of files (\scenery and \textures). This simplifies removal/turn off. I have the disc space.
initial install I ignored the "Special Note" to save disc space in the docs for Key Large. Reading it after the problems gave me the idea to combine all the texture files in the common folder (along with reinstalling all the texture files). Whever effort it was, it worked
