I use photobucket.com/ and there are a number of sites that afford free image hosting and linking but this post relates to Photobucket's protocol. Set up an account and submit an image. This will require you to browse your pc for the image you want to post. Either set up a new folder to contain your images or just copy them on to desktop, whatever makes it easy for you to browse to. Having submitted an image to Photobucket you will see under each image in your Photobucket album, three boxes, labelled, 1.Url 2.Tag 3.Img Left click on the address in the 'Img' box, then when the address has turned to white font on blue background, right click and choose 'copy'. Next exit the Photobucket site and open 'The Old Hangar'. Choose 'new thread', write your message, tab down to the next full line and right click the mouse and choose 'paste'. This will paste your image address into your post. Submit the post and hopefully your post will appear complete with attached image.

Hi... Sgt Major Steve, sir , Roger, anyone... I see from Steve's picture that the cowling is in that "Rotary brushed aluminiom" look... I have been trying for AGES to get a good "spinbrush" effect... has anyone managed a really good drawn effect. I don't want a photo... I am trying to create this in Corel Draw... for a project of my own...

Hello Cbris....... I must admit I haven't really tried to actually draw the spin brush myself. What I did in the above picture was use Bill's texture from another part of the aircraft and changed the alpha channel a tad.
Best wishes, Steve R.

Hi there, Hey cbris, sir, YOU should try in photoshop , in CS2 version is possible paint all kind of metal effects and textures. I use it to paint old metal paintings on my birds like you can see on this Beech flying over the KWSP airport Im building. I am at your service if you need some help. Hav nice fly. David

Roger - Tom. Since I am new, (and understand very little about hosting a web site) first, not a complaint, but simply a question regarding posting screen shots.
I note on another site where I participate, there is an "Add Attachement" section, which when clicked, brings up the "browse" button which leads you to your file. You then have a field to post a comment specifically for that attachement. As you click "Add Attachement" the process continues for as many shots and comments as you would like to include in your post (limited to six).
Is this possible to do here? I do not object to the Photobucket, etc - just wondering. Thanks, SD

Hi SD- To have attachments on the board would cost $2 per month per 20 megabytes. That doesn't sound like much but it would add up fast with the number of screenshots we all want to show. I am already spending $23/month for the two domains, theoldhangar.com and mainescenery.com and I am reluctant to spend much more as it would cut into my payware purchases and I do not want to ask for donations... We had a poll back a while and nearly everyone said leave it as is, so that's why the photobucket deal.

Thanks Tom, and no problem from my end. Understand. I only wish gas would be that cheap - $2 per gal. SD

I have an idea that will work (I hope) - using conical gradients in Corel (I don't use Photoshop) Unfortunately my desktop isd temporarily out of circulation at the PC Veterinary... Will let you know if it works... Chris

I've been using the Imageshack but it seems their servers cant cope so well now at US prime time, like now Saturday at 18:30 GMT ! There are hiccups, cant join them or have pictures coming up on screen in posts at time.
