It is a cool plane! it was also very innovative specially the wings, that is why the engines were placed in that curious position; but it was not understood by the market.

The engine position would indicate it was done for ease of maintenance. Although from a weight and balance standpoint, it looks nose heavy. Empty, the CB would be close to the D mark, but needs to be more around the wingtip light. Therefore a good amount of weight would need to be right around the G reference point. Fuel in the wings would help, but not enough I fear.

I've never thought about that (the Cg point) that is an interesting remark. I've just readed the Wijipedia article about and there is even a float version! The "A" variant is the nicer:

I hadn't even thought about the C/G that's got to be some weight in the back ! Here's a paint I'd really like to see

It definately looks like a neat airplane. It could even pass for modern looking. A floater version would be really cool as well.

Just eyeballing the engine configuration, the CG should be about right. The engine thrust lines are also closer to the aircraft's centerline which would probably reduce the asymmetric effects of an engine out situation. It's an ingenious adaption of a single into a twin.

That's a unique plane. I like the lines of her. And those pontoons are like they were meant to be.
That will be a nice addition.
Any chance of an FS9 version? (ducks head)
