Good stuff! Things come to life. Love the update!Hangar 14 is cool. (Brought my assistant along) I also like the static planes and the sub a lot. It´s short and it´s fat. ;D I fiddeled around with the ship hull textures a bit and added some disturbance for a little more contrast. Feel free to use them if you like, I sent them to you for consideration. The "sloped flatten" also works - with one little disadvantage: Every time I come out of the water now, it hurts

Thanks for testing, Slide. You have a sympathetic adjutant ;D. Well, I'll try to play with "sloped flatten" to solve the problem if it would be possilbe.

I'll check this update on the weekend; it is looking every time nicer! Belov, never tried to add a mapping to the vessels? so we can paint them, I am not sure if it means lot of trouble.

Well, about painting and bitmaps... What is more easy: to build 3D model with some details or to "paint" details on the model? For me the first way is more convenient. I would be wery thankful, if anybody can paint (or make painting templates) for ships. A harbour defence ship (protected cruiser) "Kaiser Franz Joseph I" arrived at Cattaro: Here she is painted in pre-war livery: Initially designed as "torped ram cruiser", old and obsolete "Kaiser Franz Joseph I" returned fire whern Cattaro harbour was shelled by French batteries at Lovcen mountain. Later, battleship "Zrinyi" completely silenced those guns.

Slide, I can not reproduce the crash sityation that you described. A number of attempts were made, but the crash occurs only if the aircraft approaches the "ground" on the high speed, about or more 50 kph. Yes, the "jumps" in such conditions can results in the crash. But, if the aircraft speed is not high (simply, after starting the movement the throttle is reduced), all proceeded relatively smooth. Before experiment: At hangar H17: Of course, I use only default mesh and "sloping flatten" from Kumbor scenery.

About the crash: I have random crashes with the Lohners even at normal runways so I am not sure it is to be related to the scenery.
No problem with the ships, that oldie looks nice!

Well... Some shots: - Small coastal cargo steamer A number of sailing vessels, coastal steamers and fishery boats are installed. Some of them are detailed, some are simple and frame-rate saving. The 2nd Division of the 1st Battle Squadron arrived at Cattaro. The three Radetzky class battleships were assigned to the 2nd Division of the 1st Battle Squadron, alongside the Tegetthoff ships in the 1st Division. They were the last pre-dreadnoughts built by the Austro-Hungarians, and the penultimate class of any type of Austro-Hungarian battleship completed. The class comprised three ships: Radetzky, Erzherzog Franz Ferdinand, and Zrinyi. They were armed with four 30.5 centimeter (12 inch) guns in two twin turrets and eight 24 cm (9.4 in) guns in four twin turrets; the heavy secondary guns set the Radetzky class ships apart from other pre-dreadnought type battleships. The modern Tivat (LYTV) airport is concealed. For my opinion, the brightly lighted airport is falling out of "the beginning of XX century era" scenery. Of course, one can easely restore it by removing only two files from the scenery folder.

Well, so main part is practically finished. A token AFCAD should be made, of course. Now, we can turn to the "bells and whistles". For example, submarine hunting: A number of French and British submarines went to Adriatic. Sometimes, they penetrates into harbours and trying to attack ships. Aircrafts from Kumbor often flight anti-submarine patrols. A French submarine: Submarines are submerged by day: And stay on surface during dusk and night. If COM1 is tuned to 118.0, submarine comes to the surface during day, or turned lights on during night. How about that idea?

Nice pics! I like the old ships and so that is what a french sub looked like in WW1... Please make them dive, I did not know that was possible - great idea! Imagine the noise of the giant "Radetzky" Dreadnought´s guns firing out of the deep Cattaro valley up to the Lovcen mountain - that must have been a smaller earthquake! Can´t wait to see them in my sim ;D About Random little crashes: Confirmed. It´s not the flatten. Regarding Pula I have some excerpts from the forum link you sent: bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1254673&paThe main defence positions in Pula were divided in several sectors. They had it fortified heavily with barbwire and trenches since 1912. I considered the sectors around Catarina Island and the main harbour relevant to a WW1 scenery. Those are the areas 1, 2 and 7. Here is an attempt of translation: Defence Area 1: "The old Noyau"The border went along the Punta Azurro to the walls of the Navy-Artillery-Labs in Villa Lunga and the railway over to the Powder Magazine Monte Fobion and back to Punta Azurro Bigger parts of the fortification were: -The Harbour Castle-Base Vallegalante -Base Giorgetta -Fort (San) Giorgio -Fort Movidal -Base Artusi (Movidal) -Fort San Michele -Base Rizzi (Michele) -Fort Casoni vecchi -Base Pillica -Base Monte Magno -Base Corneale mit Annex Meierhof -Fort Bourguignon (ex Monsival) -Mortar Battery Bourguignon Defence Area 2: "Grosso"Mainly the north harbour. It contained -Coastal fort Punta Cristo -Coastal battery Punta Christo Nord und Süd -Fort (Monte) Grosso -Fort (Monte) Munide -Battery Monumenti -Battery Zonchi -Coastal battery Valmaggiore -Coastal battery Grosso -Coastal battery Maesta Defence Area 7: "Mussil" Border from lighthouse Scoglio Franz (Andrea) along the coast to the harbour. Contained -Coastal fortification Marie Louise -Coastal fortification Kaiser Franz -Coastal fortification Mussil -Coastal fortification Stoja -Coastal battery Fisella -Mortar battery Signole -Coastal battery Ovina -Turm Maximilian (Max) -Batterie Fuora Here is a translation for the overlay above: Hope it might be of use. I found that FS with/without additional mesh does not represent the Pula Bay properly. The Seefliegerstation´s small island Katarina is not there at all. If you try yourself on this, it will be a lot of work to do. The whole stinking, smoking harbour and a big surrounding. I´d be glad to be of any help.

Slide, thank you, dear friend! When the project was in the beginning, I tried to place St.Catharina station island as mesh object. It occurs to be too small to be correctly modelled in such way. Another possibility was to construct this island as a single 3D-object. Yes, it works, but this method caused excessive drop in FPS. So, it was decided to turn for Kumbor. Four submarines are placed. The first is on the patrol off Cattaro. The second is guarding off Antivari (now - Bar, a small town, Montenegro), where supply ships for Serbian and Montenegro armies were unloaded. The fourth submarine is patrolling off Spalato and the fifth - off Sebenico. These ports were used by Autria-Hungarian torpedoboats and coastal forces. Sorry, I cannot model diving and surfacing as in reality, where it takes up to 10 minutes. Some French submarines were steam-powered, so they dived very slowly. Submarine surfaced and dived immediately when COM1 is set.

Maybe one of our wizzards here at TOH could create the small island(s) using the FSDK? "Helloo? ... World? ..." ;D Otherwise we could try to use AFCAD for a hardened surface, a grass "runway" without markings or something like that. I mean, Katarina was almost rectangular.....

There is no problem to create an island with "hardened surface". The problem is to create a small island with sharp (!!! - it is very important!) beaches. The coastline must be of zero thickness, strait and thin. Usually we got an island with smoothed beach. The width and smoothness of the beach depends on the user' hardware settings. We can simply use flat hardened polygon - like concrete aprons in some sceneries. It would not consume so much resorces as 3D island. Well, we need to try.

Well, another historic place to fly to. Pelagosa island (now Palagruza, located at N42* 23' E16* 15'). This small rocky island with lighthouse was a good observation point in the Adriatic sea. During July - September 1915, this small island several times passed from Italian forces to Austrians and back. At August 5, 1915, Italian submarine "Nereide", laying on the anchor off island ,was torpedoed and sank by S.M. U-5. At August 18, 1915, all Italian forces were evacuated and till the end of the war Pelagosa remains in no possession of any power. Only scouting forces sometimes visited this area:
