People! do you remember I told you about a new Canberra was released? well, I finally found some time to fly this plane for a while. And....WOW! let me tell you this is something very special for many reasons. The Canberra B.2 is the first of the series for FS2004 and a freeware release at "Flying Stations": www.flyingstations.com previously kown in the past as Nazca Studios where many other goodies for FS9 and FSX can also be found in their library like the HMS Ark Royal and HMS Victorious; the Fairey Swordfish and the Bucaneer. The Canberra will be the object of an special attention of Steve with what it seems to me, the most comprehensive collection of this noble plane for FS2004. Starting with the B-2, addons will cover the rest of the variants (the B.1 has been added lately and I am looking forward to the Argentinean planes....specially "Bravo 109"!). There isn't much I can say of what you can read for yourself at the Flying Stations site; let me just show you some pics I did today. Remember the freeware pack, the B2 has 4 different variants, the prototype and early and late models. And the price for additional packs will be very "attractive"...! time to collect them all, VC included

Hello all, Steve Beeny here, creator of the Flying Stations Canberra series. Thanks a lot to Damien first and foremost for posting these pics and details on the series. Regarding the Aussie B.20, definitely going to happen, but some of the other packs have been re-ordered and some shelved for now. There are still at least 2-3 more to come, the next being Tugs and Trainers which should hopefully drop either this weekend or early next week. Bomber Power is out now - you get the B.6, B(I).6, B.15 and B.16, see promo below: For some sneak peaks on the Tugs and Trainers pack, also see below. This includes the TT.18 (not shown) with working winch so that should be quite fun. T.4: T.11: T.17: Cheers all, Steve

Yes, I know what you mean about the T.17s nose. I grew up right next to RAF Wyton, where among others, we had 360 Sqn which was the sole operator of the T.17 Canberra. Many a time I used to plane spot these as a kid, and fell in love with that lumpy, curiously friendly-looking nose. A lot of folk think it's ugly, but I say it has character by the bucketload, in addition to being an extremely useful aircraft to the RAF and one not really replaced.
As you can see in the last shot, the T.17 did not have an opening bomb bay door in the normal sense, but had eight access panels, four on each side to allow maintenance access to its mysterious black ECM boxes. Hitting wing fold key will remove this for those who are handy with a spanner (erk!)
