I do not have a Sim model of this plane..wonder if one Exists??..Fascinating Concept...a Sub Launched Plane. The Aichi M6A Seiran ("Mountain Haze" was a submarine-launched attack floatplane designed for the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. It was intended to operate from I-400 class submarines whose original mission was to conduct aerial attacks against the United States I do know very late in the war,the Panama canal was targeted...then the war ended!...Interesting Plane and story I would guess .Robert will enlighten me ;D

One must ask - What is the point of a submarine carrying a 'plane on its deck, thereby preventing the submarine from submerging? May as well build a larger vessel that can carry, launch & retrieve more than one 'plane.......HEY! Let's call it an "aircraft carrier"!!
Or maybe the intent was that the 'plane be transported to a point off the coast in a disassembled state inside the sub, which then surfaces and the aircraft techs assemble the aircraft on the deck at night.....in the dark.....with torches. "Whoops! There goes the rudder over the side. Sorry, captain-san".

I do not have a Sim model of this plane..wonder if one Exists??..Fascinating Concept...a Sub Launched Plane. Hello Vin, I am aware of two M6A1 models built for CFS2. One had an I-400 in the package but I never got it to work in FS9. However, Daisuke Iga made a Seiran that is quite nice and is accurately modeled. It has a VC but I can't get the gauges to show up. You can get it here: www.kawausohermitage.sakura.ne.jp/Hanger/hanger_en.htmMr. Iga also has some other Japanese aircraft that are excellent CFS2 to FS9 portovers.

Interesting aircraft and concept. Might have been a successful idea early in the war, but a handful of these would be of little threat to the Allies late in the war. Only know of CFS models avalible. I remember reading something about one of I400 subs making its way to the US coast very late in the war. True or not?

Yes Robert ..Until the day of japans surrender...At Panama Canal, it was no little threat.Kamikaze ,was to be the method of attack, to destroy the locks! This as well as Coastal cities!.A Predecessor to our Subs with missals..Underwater Air attack!..new stuff then,..the Soviets showed great interest in that Sub Aircraft carrier.....but I believe America destroyed them ..to keep that technology out of the hands of the Russians.....Cheers!..Vin en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I-400_class_submarine
