The Sim world Endures..Many came and many left..They Grew up I guess,..I was 50yrs old in 1982,when FS1.0 was introduced to me.Our Office "Tinkerer" then, now known as "GEEKS" showed us that stick and line thing..As a Pilot I immediately was attracted to it..now 2013,and on the verge of 2014 still going strong..an enduring hobby Created by some wonderful people Bless them. This for the Forever Young,Once you become an adult with this??? With Adult Logic ,Prejudices,Small mindedness? Give it up,for the Magic will gone..Never more to return....Where Has the time gone?...To quickly My Friends Too Quickly1 Never to return!....Cheers Boys and we Are...Vin I think the sport/art/craft (??) would still be going strong if Microsoft hadn't canned it. The competitors just could not hold onto the simmers the way MS did. I remember those days of booting up the old 486 PC and starting out at Meigs Field. Those were the days.

As I've read through these posts.....where does the time go? (smile) I too started out many years ago....Flight Sim 3 and was hooked from the start. A form of MS Flight sim has always been on my computer and of course I've purchased a copy of every version. I hadn't really flown much this past year until recently and yet again the flying bug has captured me a few weeks back and I can't seem to get enough again. (smile)
I doubt if MS Flight Sim will ever be completely replaced...at least not on my machine....but who knows what the future might bring.
I can honestly say, for me.......the best part of Flight Simming has always....and continues to be.....what brought me here to The Old Hanger and all your sorry souls. (smile) Just a few weeks ago I was trying to explain to someone how some of my longest friendships have been with a group of folks on a web-site in which I've never met them face-to-face. I think I've been acquainted with some of you for close to 15 years now. (smile) For that, I will always be grateful!!
Cheers!!

No place on earth where people made the types of friendships that we (over the many years) have made here. I haven't opened FS in 5 years maybe?? not sure, but I try to check in here every now and then just to see what you guys are up to. I am grateful as well.

The best forum I have ever belonged to.......it is the on-line substitute for not being able to sit down with you blokes and have a chat about interesting subjects over a glass or two.
