Steve, It appears to have been received very favourably going by comments on trainsim.com. Be aware, however, that you need additional "packs" in order for it to run without having to resort to editing the world or the Scenarios. The Just Trains site mentions the packs under Important! in System Requirements. www.justtrains.net/product/three-country-corner-route-download

Yes Bruce...I did see that, but many....MANY Thanks for watching my back....a True friend indeed. (smile) It appears I have everything I need........so when the time comes, I might just purchase it. I watched part of a review video of it last evening, and while the video quality was not very good....it appeared as a nicely done route. Cheers,

Its on my watch list. A nice half price sale would get my attention. I was thinking the same thing Tom.......however, I still have a $25 gift card that's burning a hole in my pocket. (smile) I hate gift cards....I always seem to have a few laying around with a $1.25 on one....75 cents on another.....etc., etc. If I can figure a way of putting the entire card towards the purchase and pay the difference.....Hmmmmmmm....that might work. (smile) Cheers,

Steve, No worries...glad to help. I also wouldn't mind getting this at some point. I'm not a great fan of Continental routes (showing my age by using that term instead of "European" ) but there are a couple which appeal, and this is one. You guys might also be interested in a new one from Just Trains which features a modern Chinese route - but not one of those VFT things. This is a freight/passenger line using electric locomotives. The locomotives are of the "skilled" type, which have lots of additional functions to perform, and the route incorporates the modern multi-aspect signalling system, apparently faithfully reproduced both line-side and in-cab. Looks interesting. www.justtrains.net/product/china-railways-ss7c-electric-locomotive?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=RYeah....I've got scraps of gift cards laying around too....all from different businesses!

Bruce......I saw the Chinese route about a week ago. It does look intersting and I too may pick it up at some point or another.
I've watched several videos of the TCCR, and must admit.....I'm really liking what I see. Like you....I'm not a fan of the European routes as such....but enjoy the British and Scotish Routes.....but this one may just be worth the purchase. I've always wanted to tour those 3 Countries.....but as I get older....it looks like it will have to be virtually only. (smile)
Cheers,

Okay...Okay.....I purchased the route last evening. Ran from end to end (about 1.5 hours)....then did 1 little scenerio (25 min), and I must admit.....a VERY nicely done scenery package. Lots of tunnels etc., but even the quick route had a nice mix of traffic. I set my quick drive for summer....midday and some clouds....but it was nice to see some flowers alongside the hills and mountains.
Of course....being very unfamiliar with the signaling system, I messed that up a few times. (smile)

Good stuff, Steve. You and Tom have now moved me closer to adding another Paypal invoice to my list! Meryl, Yeah....I noticed that but if one has unlimited broadband (which I don't) then the download is pretty easy. Trouble is I would take a good bite out of my monthly quota with that download. And there's no boxed version, as there is with Three Country Corner.

I think you'd enjoy this route Bruce! When I tend to purchase a new route....I normally do a quick drive from end to end, just to enjoy the scenery. This one was no different....I drove end to end last evening, and I really DID enjoy it. With that said, however, this morning I did the first two scenerio's (about an hour each)..... called "Route Introduction Part 1" and "Route Introduction Part 2." I would HIGHLY recommend that approach......you're still driving from end to end....but MUCH more enjoyable, as it explains things along the way. Plus.....you're going from the low country to the mountains. I REALLY enjoyed driving that direction, over from the high to the low. Can't explain why...but it was just "nicer." The only....hmmm....problem? I didn't get the green checkmark after finishing the second scenerio, even though I did get the "Congratulations" message. However, the nose of my cab had just rolled past the SPAD....so, don't know if that's something I did....or the scenerio needs to be "tweaked." I'll try it again this evening, if given time, and post my results. If the scenerio needs a "tweak," I think there is probably a fix out there somewhere. Cheers, Edit: I ran the "Route Introduction Part 2" this evening.....however, received the checkmark this time. Although....I received the Congratulation message...but the scenerio did not end directly. As soon as I released the brake and pulled forward about a foot....the scenerio, then ended and I received the checkmark.

Now that I've been running this route for a few days....(smile)....I must admit....I believe this is one of the very best routes I've purchased to date.
Very....VERY, nicely done!! I can say, this is my favorite European route for sure. I've never been much for "electric" trains....and actually have been running a lot of diesels on the route. However, I started running the scenerio's and have kind of gotten use to the electrics.
I REALLY like the route signals!! Now that I've gotten them figured out, at least. (smile) I'm still a little confused on the difference between the markings for 60kph and 40kph....but at least they are marked....IF....you understand the markings. (smile)
Once I take the time to figure out where all the stations are...I'm anxious to start fiddling with the scenerio editor. As yet...I haven't seen any scenerio's created on Steam for this route....and perhaps I won't since this is a "Just Trains" route.....but hopefully some of the talented folks will start posting some additional scenerio's.
The one thing I haven't yet tried, is a steam engine from end to end. It might be quite a challenge to run a steam engine up the grade....pretty darn steep....but then it's just a game. (smile)
Cheers,

Thanks Tom....but no, my browser doesn't translate automatically, and I'm afraid that is just a little beyond my paygrade to figure out. (smile)
No worries....I have MORE than enough stuff to keep me busy for a very long time. (smile)

What browser do you use, Tom? Mine (Firefox) doesn't give an option for translating either.
