.... BACKING UP meant just that...... We call it "reversing". "C'mon back" was used by CB radio truckers, wasn't it?

"MOMBACK" was a funny phrase used by Jewish Comics in the Old BORSHET CIRCUT stages.Making fun of guys directing traffic at Check out at the Resorts getting your car backed in for loading luggage...Pure Regional ethnic Stuff...

Many years ago, I remember a commercial flight I was on (DC-9...I think).....they actually used the reverse thrust to back away from the terminal. Bet you won't see that anymore. (smile)
