This from Fern Marques via an E-Mail today. Fern has created some outstanding scenery in both FS9 and FSX - he is a professional graphics type and lives in North Bay, Ontario.

Hi, guys
If you have the time, go to your FSX Ascension Island airport, FHAW, and let me know if you have a whole lot of birds flying just beside the runway.
In my case I created scenery for this airport, but I never added any birds, and I haven't seen those birds anywhere else, in years of using FSX.
Please let me know.
Thanks
Fern

Stew, I haven't had a chance to check this airport out but there are lots of birds in FSX. When you make sceneries you have the choice of seagulls (white) or crows (black), which are default objects, in your own choice of flock size. And not only that, I recently downloaded a bunch of freeware Orbx sceneries which have lots of moving people in as well because there are now talented guys out there making moving people object libraries, something I'd thought about but wasn't clever enough to do myself. Here's a link to a scenery I did that I didn't publish because it only worked in FSX SP1 - all the sounds are in the scenery itself and nothing was added in the editing. www.micro-trike.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/simple-flash-video/video.php?height=670&width=890&file_name=http://www.micro-trike.co.uk/wordpress/videos/ClipgateX.flvSo I'm surprised your pal has never seen birds before, let alone all the other goodies that are available in FSX that .... ahem.... Flight never could offer Roger
