Have been reading about the tremendous storms lashing SE Australia with several lives lost and much damage to infrastructure and property in the Sydney area. Hope that nobody close to you is affected, Bruce.

Thanks for the good wishes and concern, lads. Nobody that we know has suffered any more than inconvenience due to power outages.
Fortunately we about 700 km north of where the severe damage occurred and we've been experiencing superb autumn weather over the past fortnight, with more clear, sunny days ahead.
But get this: the East-coast Low (a category 2 cyclone, in fact) that has lashed the Newcastle, Sydney and Central Coast regions, was initially predicted to hit the coast right about where I'm sitting!!! So all that we can say is there but for the grace of God.....
The violent weather has ended down there now and a massive clean-up is taking place. Restoration of power to over 200,000 homes continues.
Thanks again for your thoughts.
