Just thought I'd post a quick note as this has become one of my favorite trains over the past 6-8 months.
Primarily, I'm usually a Steam Engine person......however, have a few Diesels I enjoy too.
One thing I didn't have was an electric train that I loved......had a few I've used from time to time, but no favorites.
About 6-8 months ago during a sale.....I had seen this train had a lot of reviews and most reviews were quite good. Not really knowing what I was buying, however, not passing up a chance for a cheap train..(around $5 I think)...I purchased it for my electric lines.
Well......little did I know....I fell in love with this thing. To get the true beauty....you need to run it without the HUD...and at night. WOW...beautifully done and quite nice.
SO....for anyone looking for a nice electric....put this on your "look" list. I think you'll be surprised as I was.
BTW....there are a number of video's on YouTube.....it appears this train has been out for quite sometime...(TS2014 & TS2015)......but it works very nicely in TS2016.
Cheers,

Steve......
That's a German loco, isn't it? I don't run Euro routes.......some in Britain but primarily I'm a North American fan.

Yes Bruce....I think it is a German Train.
While there are some electric routes here in the U.S., there are not as many as the European routes. (smile)
Perhaps it's the old "Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" syndrome......(smile) But I do enjoy the European routes......British and German. Heck..........I just like trains!!! (smile)

Are you aware that the Tehachapi route is being developed for Train Sim 2015/16? Runs from Bakersfield to Mojave and is being done by the same bloke (3D Trains) who did the feather River Canyon for MSTS. In beta atm and I've been working along with it since the start. Already it is very nice but when completed it will be one of the best - if not THE best - North American routes created for TS2016.

Yes Bruce.....I recently saw a post in a forum somewhere that spoke of the Tehachapi route being worked on. I will be interested in seeing it.
Hmm....I DIDN'T know that guy that did the Feather River Canyon was the one working on it..........now that's interesting!! I liked the FRC route in MSTS.
Good!!! I have a lot of diesels that are just sitting there waiting for a challenge. (smile)
BTW......Sometime this year when I'm heading north again.....I'm planning on stopping for some pictures of the Tehachapi loop. Last month when I headed up to Concord, I happened to notice a sign indicating there was an observation place to see the loop. Don't know what I'll find when I get there........but then again.....that's what makes it exciting. (smile)
Cheers!!
