Thanks for all the info and good words on X-Plane, Roger. I haven't "flown" a 'plane in any of the flight-sims for a lo-o-ong time.......almost since moving here from Canberra and certainly not since taking up an interest, which has become a passion, in learning to read music/play the keyboard. I play very few sims now....occasionally dabble in TS2017 or Run 8 but that's about it. The combination of music, on-air radio, reading and other leisure interests and activities just soaks up my daylight and part of my evening hours.

OK Steve, cracked it. I used a library called ff_library_extended_LOD which, when I used it while developing the scenery, I thought was part of X-Plane (because in the development tool it shows up merely as 'library' and not with its full name). You can download it HERE Hi Roger......I'm afraid I'm being a nuisance but I can't seem to get this link to work. I arrived home this evening and thought I'd at least download the file etc., so it would be on my computer when I have some time to tinker with it. However, when I click on "HERE", I get an error stating "Sorry...you don't have permission for that." Thanks partner.....and again....sorry to be such a pain. (smile) Cheers,

No worries Steve. I suspect that you have to be a member of the X-Plane forum to download files. What about the other link that I gave that takes you to the Library Master List? If that works, go to that page and scroll down. You'll find the file you need about a quarter of the way down, called FF LOD Library. If you need to create a forum account, no problems. It's a 'normal' kind of account that only needs you to give a login name and password - it won't try to steal your bank account details Roger

No worries Steve. I suspect that you have to be a member of the X-Plane forum to download files. That makes PERFECT sense and I am a member of the forum.....I bet I wasn't signed in. (smile) I'll try again tomorrow....I'm too darn tired to fuss with it tonight. (smile) It's been a very busy week. Thanks again!! Cheers!

The combination of music, on-air radio, reading and other leisure interests and activities just soaks up my daylight and part of my evening hours. Yup, I can well believe that Bruce. Sadly, I decided that my musical aspirations had to take a back seat when my health problems hit me. I just couldn't concentrate enough when the low points of the cycle arrived and I needed to find something that I could just pick up and put down again without needing to 'practise' in between. So the FS scenery design thing was pretty ideal and I've had some good fun because it can become very immersive, which has been a good thing. But I still hope to get back onto my Yamaha at some time - and get a bit beyond Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Roger

Roger, Downloaded and installed the missing FF LOD Library and fired up XP-11.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!! What a world of difference and such a pleasant addition!! I spent just over an hour flying around the territory and what a lovely place...very obvious you spent a lot of time tweaking the scenery!! As of now, I really didn't plan or look at any charts etc., just hopped in one of my helicopters and explored. I have some errands to run this morning etc., but plan on doing a more detailed inspection of the area later this evening!!
Once again!! Many Thanks and a job VERY WELL DONE!!!!
Cheers,

.......Sadly, I decided that my musical aspirations had to take a back seat when my health problems hit me. ...... But I still hope to get back onto my Yamaha at some time - and get a bit beyond Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Roger The good thing is, Roger....it's always there waiting for when you are ready. Only last Tuesday I took delivery of a possible new keyboard/arranger - Casio's WK7600. I say "possible" because I am renting it for several months to see if I like what it provides; so far I have only just scratched the surface (metaphorically speaking!) - there is an awful lot to this machine. But already I am liking it for its extra octave (76 keys vs 61 on my Yamaha PSR E443) and its "box" keys, a la piano style. I couldn't live without music and the ability to also make it is the icing on the cake for me.
