It seems FS forgot about McCalla Field which is very crucial to the only approach pattern into Leeward Field. McCalla is the first airfield built at the gitmo us base. It was closed in the late 70's but with the recent war on terrior it has been opened on and off to flights and part of it is used for tent city and supply houses. I left there about 7months ago after doing a 9 year duty station there and at last meeting i attended to McCalla can and will be reactivated when called for. So i think its only fitting to restore the Airfield back into the FS world. If anyone is up to the challenge let me know i have a great amount of pics and info if need in relation to the whole MUGM NAS base.

I think you asked this over at fsdeveloper.com? Did you get an answer?

Yes, and 1 responded requesting clarification of Fs platform. I did respond back its for both fs9 and fsx. i wanted to make the land the same for both sims and use two different afcads. I tried SbuilderX, but its a difficult program for me and theres a lc program out that uses excel ms but i have for an op system xp-pro sp3.

A bit more than an error I'd say!
Are you looking for something real fancy with ground polygons and all?

Well, I can redo the mesh, create an AFCAD, place objects (Generic, unless you have photos of the buildings), fix river + roads, and some other stuff.
Ground polygons are time consuming, especially for an airport that size. I haven't mastered them yet.
If you give me 3-4 weeks I may be able to make it for you.
EDIT:
I just looked at the airport in FS2004. I thought the whole AFCAD was missing, now I see the mesh is the problem.
Should be an easy fix if you want me to redo the mesh in the area.

What's the ICAO identifier for the base?
To make an AFCAD I'll need at least the identifier and city.

Its kinda wierd. Military history records show McCalla as mugm then when Leeward was built the MUGM switched to Leeward. Im waiting on a e-mail from the Base CO on this tricky matter. Im still lookin over the naval archives on this. One could theorize that both fields are one airport under one code but split.

Ok got the info. Took a while and four e-mails and a phone call to base info release office. Heres how they explained the ICAO for McCalla.
MUGM was always assigned to the Leeward Field. The today term of GTMO is the code for McCalla airfield. Gtmo today stands for the windward side of the base. McCalla is currently inactive but is in better shape then Leeward and is and can be reactivated ASAP. If reactived the term GTMO is its ICAO no and and ifs. So in conclusion McCalla Field in MS FS ICAO should read GTMO.

Finished the mesh for the area. Because the only publicly available mesh from USGS was SRTM 3 Arc data, the mesh will be 30 Meters in resolution. Better than the default if anything. And will smooth out the jagged cliff edges seen in your screenshots.
