Well, I'm what we Americans call a "Baby Boomer." Dad was an Army Air Corps Pilot. Mom was a survivor of the Malta Blitz. We Boomers are members of that massive population spike which resulted as warriors returned home to begin the "normal" life again and began building delayed Families. We're the generation AFTER the Depression Babies and the WWII Fighters and Home Front Supporters.
I worry that much of the history of The War will die with those aging persons who lived through all of it. My generation is very familiar with what our parents went through, but we're all passing the 60 mark.
This film is a treasure. It goes a long way to preserving at least a part of the Great Story that is WWII - MANY THANX FOR SHARING THIS!!!

Stew

Thanx Damien,it available here on the news programs, and other sources....was going to share it,but thought better of it...These are great films, however there must be miles and miles of film depicting the "BLITZ" on England...a grim reminder of total War..Close to 70yrs now ,we are removed from these events. As a boy,in the movie houses the PATHE news would show the days news, and London "BLITZ" was a big part of it.....as we know all the world suffered, civil populations now the enemy, both sides ,and scenes like these, are historic, yet for an aging many, it brings back those memories.....Yes they should never be forgotten!.....grazie il mio amico
