And some screenshots on the work progress. Hangar H14 is placed: A torpedoboat is present on numerous photos. But I can not determine exactly her type, so Tb-I was selected for placement: Hangars H9 and H12 are prepared, but not placed yet.

Thanks! it seems all is in place; for the record, my mesh seems to end norht around that zone but there are no problems with Kumbor. The WIP is looking good!

Well, but I'll strongly recommend to use default mesh.

Nay! on this I have to disagree...good meshes makes good terrains...lol! my own Alpine region wouldn't be the same without my mountains (wich default mesh doesn't show at all and a generic 74 mts does). Slide, make sure to give all your meshes a lower priority so that added sceneries go first.
Belov, I am curious to know wich the format you use to save bitmaps for your sceneries (like the ship flags and walls).

The simplest format is used - BMP. Of course, DXT-files can give us some gain in speed, but it is more simple to work with ordinary BMP. Well, all hangars are in place, a number of aircrfats arrived: Interesting photo was found in one Polish naval magazine. 250-ton class torpedoboats at the Cattaro bay: Where this ancorage was situated in the Bocce?

Excellent! Hangar 14 looks surprisingly authentic. Love the wood, compared to the photo. Seeing your latest shots already with some static Lohner´s added, I think that this scenery will be a very nice one. Although I like your statement about mesh in general, I think this landscape suffers without a better one than the default. It is, IMHO, one of the most beautiful landscapes on this planet, along with the northwest US/Canada and the norwegian coastline. I flew from Kumbor north to Dubrovnik with and without mesh and I would not want to miss it. I made myself a flatten switch and I am quite pleased with it: Flatten.0=0,N42 26.30,E18 35.83,N42 26.30,E18 36.68,N42 26.07,E18 36.68,N42 26.07,E18 35.83 I know this does not meet your historic requirements, but -for me- it adds the fun of the scenery to the fun of the landscape. This is what came out: Don´t mind the trees in my sim, they´ll cut them soon ;D Additionally I came across this nice photograph from 1912 that shows the "fjord" in it´s whole beauty. (Tivat) Regarding the torpedoboats I would say they were stationed either at the entrance of Il Bocche (Castelnuovo) or way back behind in the Cattaro war-harbour at the very eastern end of the water. Here is a map that shows points of military value in red: And here is one for those -like me - who had never heard about the maritime Austrian heroes and the (1914) frontiers in this part of the world before:

WOW !! guys this is awesome !
I use FS Global X (FS9 & FSX) so If the finished package could include the flatten that would be great.

I'll try to make "sloped" flatten. Of course, some experiments would be necessary... Looking for the data on the submarines, another photo of the military anchorage was found. Source: Marine-Arsenal, issue 42, "Die Unterseeboote der K.u.K. Marine": So, the "Ubootstutzpunkt Gjenovic" hosted both submarines and torpedoboats. It is possible, that the previous picture was take in the same place. The village of Gjenovic is marked on the flugbootestation map. Also, two lighthouses are added to the scenery (they are marked with stars, base is marked with anchor): Well, we are on the way...

Of course, some experiments would be necessary... Just drop them in the mailbox I needed to post this 1870 Cattaro postcard "off topic" - how beautiful is that?!

Yes! Another ship is ready: And her gallant and brave commander (Guess who? ) : Of course, this picture was taken much later, it is dated about 1935... But in 1914 this submarine was based at Cattaro:

Seiner Majestaet Unterseeboot 5, I assume? Nice!If so, the bloke is Georg Ludwig Ritter von Trapp, and that is quite a story: He was married to a girl by the name of Agatha Whitehead, and she was the daughter of Robert Whitehead, who had invented the torpedo. And his ship SM U-5 was built in Fiume, also former Austria, at the Whitehead AG. Coincidence, of course....

There is a book of Captain von Trapp memories "To the last salute" published by his dauther.

Willco! will try this new version.
And I always thought that was actually...Christopher Plummer!!! lol!!! anyway, the Von Trapp who remained here, still owns one the nicest Castles of the region: Churburg, very interesting to those who likes medieval armoury (one of Europe's most complete collections). Every summer we have medieval parties!
