OK, everything has worked well forever - until a week ago when I started getting the below error message (yes, I used the default logbook until the problem, then generated a new logbook the see if that would solve the problem - thus the "stew" logbook in the error message - the default logbook name gave the same error). I've tried everything I can think of. I've modified and edited logbooks in FS9 and GW3 before with no ill effects - no, I didn't modify the logbook before the error began. I seem to remember a solution from a million years ago, but a modest search made me decide to seek assistance! Any ideas??? Many thanx, Stew Attachments:

Sorry Stew, I'm useless here. I don't think I ever logged a flight in FS9/GW. However the thought occurs to me that there is(was) a(some) logbook editor(s) available that might let you fix the default logbook. Perhaps a search at flightsim.com or avsim.com would turn something up.

Many thanx. I'll take a peek!
If anyone looks at my original message and says, "Oh, that's an easy one. You just...." Please share!!!!
Like I always say, this set of people is the most significant thing that has happened to my overall Flight Simming experience since those original days of loading machine language, line drawing runways, and clicking noises for engine sound!!!!

Well, editing hasn't made a difference.
I'd like to log flights, but more pressing is the "every session having to close the Log Error box to be able to come out of GW3" problem.
The error box picture is in the top posting here.
Anyone have/had a similar problem.
Anyone know how to fix it??? I'm sure it's a simple thing. I just can't seem to be able to figure it our and to fix it!!!
Many Thanx!!!

Well, I just flew my Knik River Headquarters (way east of Birchwood, AK) to Nondalton, AK. Long enjoyable trip.
When I exited GW3, the logbook came right up and I recorded the flight.
Now, I'm tempted to mess with it and find out what was wrong and why it's working now, but I learned a long time ago to just accept good things as they happen. I'm gonna leave well enough alone.
Here's hoping I don't post another reply (to myself!!!) asking for more help 'cause it's on the fritz again!!!
I guess the real message concerning logbook problems now is NEVER MIND!

It did, it worked for 3 hours as I installed various a/c and scenery.
Now I get the error message again at the end of every session and I can log no time
I believe it's something simple and silly, but I cannot figure it out.
Any suggestions would be very gratefully accepted - I'm not yet near the point of re-installing GW3 - not nearly there...YET!
Many thanx,
Stew

I still have no clue Stew, but have you considered an external logbook? This one is at avsim: etavlogbook.zip The downside is it doesn't connect to FS so you would need to enter all data. The upside is it doesn't connect to FS so it should work every time.

No, I hadn't considered that - I was thinking of just manually keeping track.
The real rub is that I'd like to get rig of the error message everytime I want to get out of GW3.
I'll keep tinkering - I must be something simple that I'm just missing.
I think I do have a number of external Log programs though...
Again, many thanx for the assist!!!
