Yes, yes, I've been around forever. I purchased and installed FSX when it came out. I have FSX_sp1_ENU.exe & fsx_sp2_ENU.msi in a "Microsoft Updates Hold folder - I assume I installed both, but that was a long time ago. I recently purchased Acceleration - quite frankly, as an act of faith towards the whole FS realm.
I seldom bring up FSX. I have too much in the way of scenery and aircraft I do not wish to reproduce in FSX - strictly a question of time and inertia, well, OK, I'm pleased with FS9 and GW3.
Question 1: I have looked only in my mail FSX folder and cannot find an indication as to which "upgrades" I've installed. I've pretty sure I installed both SP1 and SP2 when they came our (pure ignorance and not keeping up with the FSX world on my part). How can I tell which I've installed? (I'll go looking through other folders in Win7 after I get off line.)
Question 2: I don't mind losing my FS9 aircraft installed in FSX, so should I install my new copy of Acceleration before I figure out the SP1 & SP2 installation question???
I use FSX irregularly - the recent availability of SEA scenery from Virtual Flight Air America has made it worth my while! I'm also finding Mayan, Aztec, and Incan ruins in FSX. I would like FSX to run optimally. If installing follow-on software (Acceleration) will do that for me, OK!
Many thanx for any directions/opinions.

Yeah. In my original posting is should read that I have checked my MAIN FSX folder for the updates, not my MAIL FSX folder....
