I've got to tell you folks too...The gauge animation in the virtual cockpit is just as fluid as anything put out by RealAir

So..,how close it it to being done? They're still cleaning up the gauges, VC, textures, and a couple of other goodies - I'd *guess* we'll see it sometime this month

Just wondering, is that some version of the Pitts?

The Eagle was heavily influenced by the Pitts. Where actually Frank Christensen first set out to make the Pitts S2B (I'm pretty sure thats the model pitts) into a homebuilt. But he could not acquire the rights to do so.
So basically it ended up being much like the Champ was to the Piper Cub. They took what was good about the Pitts and fixed its weak points. Such as the Canopy is much larger in the Eagle than the Pitts. Many Pitts pilots comment on the awsome ground visability in the Eagle when compared to the Pitts.
Also the Elevator uses a servo style elevator trim tab. When the elevator is deflected up the trim tab deflects down which helps in pushing the elevator up. This makes the controls feel much lighter and more responsive.
Many say the Eagle is more capable than the Pitts simply because it took the Pitts weak points and made them the Eagles strong points.
In the end Frank acquired the rights of the Pitts design I believe in which he sold to Aviat which now produces new Pitts, Eagle kits, and Huskeys.
The Eagle design as a homebuilt revolutionized homebuilt aircraft because of its step by step construction and the ability to construct with very basic tools. I actually have some of the manuals that frank sent me and they are very easy to read and understand.

The Areonca Champ 7AC is the plane I was refering to. I did a version for 2002 but it doesn't fly right in 2004. I also did an Aeronca L-16A which is a military version of the 7AC but with 85HP instead of 65. You cna find it at avsim, SOH, and flightsim. my website is www.liclassics.com which has some info on the projects I have done previously to this. Anyway I gotta get some sleep! 3 day weekend is over and I got work tomorrow Kevin
