Many thanx!!! I cannot say enough about the C-46. My Dad preferred the C-47 (said the C-46 was under-powered!), but I started flying it years ago on Air America missions in Laos and the surrounding area (in FS9!).
I was raised (sorta - we were an Air Force Family) in the Town of Tonawanda - I went to Kenmore East HS - and I've often flown the Niagara Gorge usually taking off from St Catherines, ONT, lining up and pulling up right after flying under Rainbow Bridge - I won't try that with the Commando, but I will get the DHL textures (which I must admit I ignored when I saw them come out).
OK, you're right, I'm gonna try under Rainbow in the C-46 from both ends starting with the trip up the Gorge...
Thanx again for causing me to reminisce and for stimulating my lust for the C-46 and the whole Niagara Frontier area!!!

Now we're back in NY (after college, over 20 in the USAF, and a 21 stint in the DC area) in an Eastern Suburb of Syracuse. Been back to the Falls a number of times - we even went to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont, for the first time in my life!!!!
I did, I just flew under the bright from the Gorge side! Plabe handled very well even with the DHL colors!
Very good talking to ya!!! (As always!!!)
