Holy cow! Was that fast or was that fast? No release date, but still, announced just 5 days after Flight was released.
Best regards. Luis

Not to be a party pooper, but how much is this add-on going to cost?
I had concerns about this alleged "free" game turning into an M $ money trap, I'm not seeing anything to prove me wrong.....
I must say however, the graphics are a wonderful.

Not to be a party pooper, but how much is this add-on going to cost? Probably more than YOU want to spend. And it is likely that you never will since your mind is made up. HOWEVER, to get FSX where it is today besides the $60 game I have spent over $800 just for Orbx scenery & stuff, plus an equal amount for Flight1 stuff, plus you add up the total for ALL Carenado FSX aircraft. Plus all the smaller totals from other vendors. I think to buy a package with payware quality scenery I want and aircraft to fly in it that so far have been payware quality, whatever it costs is small change compared to what I spent on FSX. Yes they are and they run at more than double the fps of FSX as well. Frankly, Flight has put the fun back into flight simming.

I have to agree with Tom and Craig on this. Like I told Tom the other day, my excitement and enthusiasm for flying is where it was back in FS2002. Although I have tried many of the missions and challenges, I mostly use this program as a simulator. Alaska is sounding really good right now, even with my past burnout on it from FS2002 and FS9. Somehow, I can't fathom Alaska without the Beaver, so I think it will be part of the package or an add-on.

I mentioned this during the beta, but I thought I would also post here. People seem to forget about the Flight Unlimited Series from years back. It may have had more aircraft, and more simulated features but the scenery was limited to a small regional area. Starting with Flight Unlimited II, their plan was to make new regions that would need to be purchased. Sound familiar?

I remember Flight Unlimited. I have 1 & 2 but I never joined the cult. The scenery was a slide show on my computer back then and the flight models seemed to be closer to Japanese Shadow Puppets than aircraft. But you are right. It is the same concept, only this time done by a company and team that knows what they are doing. I read those posts (elsewhere) about how Microsoft has shot themselves in the foot and I laugh. For every self-absorbed, self-centered, self-deluded "so-called hardcore" cry-baby that Microsoft loses, they will gain 100,000 happy new users. Onward, to Alaska and beyond.
