Did the swept wing variant ever exist other than on paper?

Good question Grizzly!...A swept wing is a wing planform favored for high subsonic jet speeds first investigated in Germany from 1935 onwards until the end of the Second World War....Of course in nature??? Probably since flight began....Pterodactyls,Raptors,and most birds.can adapt their wings...Then there is Swept Forward Wings....Mabe some one knows the real answers will tell us!,...Cheers!...Vin
