At your own risk! This is Kasitsna, a sand and gravel strip on Kasitsna Bay. It is about 800 feet long and curved (dog leg!) Here are the Notams: - SURFACE IS SAND AND GRAVEL BEACH. - RWY SIDE SLOPE IS 10%. - APCH TO RWY 28 BLOCKED BY HILL - RWY HAS SLIGHT DOGLEG; - RWY FLOODED AT 16.5' TIDE. - LARGE ROCK ON BEACH APPROXIMATELY MIDPOINT OF LANDING AREA. Yikes! I love it! ;D Of course, the real thing doesn't have any trees on the beach to make your life difficult, unlike Flight, but then the Flight version doesn't have a dog leg, or a big rock in the middle of the strip, and doesn't flood at high tide. ;D Not easy, you have been warned! Best regards. Luis

Thanks for the heads-up on carb heat, Vin, we don't use it a lot here in the Tropics. ;D Gotta get used to it in Alaska. Old, bold pilots a-plenty in flight games! Best regards. Luis

HA! HA! Yea,thats true,..On the Sim some of us need seat belts..for that fall from a chair can do it!!. ;D .Carb heat?..best you use it when landing Anywhere, any temperature!.... Ice can ,and does form on warm days. Some models do ice up in the Sim world...a nice touch towards reality! www.glenndalepilotsclub.org/sites/default/files/Cub_Checklist.pdfPiper Celebrates 75th Anniversary of the Piper Cub at EAA AirVenture 2012 I was 5yrs old then...My first love affair with planes!..Loved them...
