That's normal because you already own the sim and Sherman Hill. You won't get extra copies of those but you will get what you don't have. I would still recommend waiting a couple days though, till the bugs a re squashed Good advice Tom....I completed the re-install and went back in. My problem is I own too much darn crap!!! (smile) With that said.....I sure don't see any new content what-so-ever. The only difference I can physically see...it looks like the color of the menu's are different. I'll take a closer peek later as I'm a bit in a rush this afternoon. I have a seminar I need to attend this evening and should be getting ready to go in the next hour or so. For now....I'm taking your advice and will hang tight for a few days......let the dust clear and go from there. (smile) Cheers,

Okay....silly me, I think I finally got my head wrapped around this thing. (smile)
In fact....I feel somewhat foolish as I saw the trailer for TS2016 and just assumed when I saw DT was bringing my current version up to TS2016 that everything was included. Ahh...not so....which is okay, I just didn't understand.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong....
But it appears to me that my TS2015 was updated internally so going forward all my "add-on" items or purchased items going forward will still run in the current version of Train Sim. Changing the name to TS2016 doesn't really seem to be completely correct......Unless....I actually purchase the new content. (hope that makes sense)
Will I upgrade.......probably someday perhaps........but I was intrigued by the UP Turbo and the new 50's route.....but not enough just to purchase for those items. Heck....I still have tons of stuff I've purchased on various sales I haven't really begun to use. (smile)
If anyone does upgrade.....I'll be interested in hearing your views or opinions.
Cheers,

I'll blame the Rum & Root Beer but I bought it about 1 am I figured 2 new routes, one of which I really wanted, plus 3 completely new locomotives and several refurbished/updated for less than the price of a route was a good enough bargain. I'm sure it will be on a 12 hour sale during the Thanksgiving and/or Christmas sales but I have no "won't power." Anyway, The GTE is noisy and impressive. The German engine looks like all the other German engines but I have heard is a bear to drive. Haven't looked at the German route yet. Riviera Line in the 50s is the route I wanted and the locos look great. I had the old Hall & King from back when but the new versions look and sound better. The Castle is fairly new and I don't know if it has any changes from the separate version. I drove the new version of the Pannier Tank this evening and it was fun. I've looked at some of the Railfan/trainspotting scenarios and they give a good showcase of the engines for 3 of the routes. I have not tried Driver Assist with the steamers yet. Bottom line, I coulda/shoulda waited but I'm glad I didn't. Now I do have to keep my wallet shut until Christmas. Only they keep making stuff I want...

I'll blame the Rum & Root Beer but I bought it about 1 am Tom....that sounds like the most logical reason to purchase that I've ever heard (smile)........hmmmm....now where did I put my Rum. (smile) WOW....didn't know there was a new Pannier Tank.....one of my favorites. To be honest.....I know extremely very little about TS2016 other than the UP Turbine and the 50's route.....(Smile) Guess I should try to keep up some. The wife's gone and my daughter is in bed and the cat is asleep on my desk. Perhaps I'll go poke around a bit and brush up on TS2016 some. I should be safe......No Rum or Root Beer within miles. (smile) Cheers,

Okay.........so I'm weak!!! (smile)
I'm blaming mine on coffee and rye toast this morning but sprang for the new program. I do in fact say "new" as it has no real resemblance of the "so called" TS2016 "upgrade."
I'm actually quite pleased!!
I drove the GMT Clan 4-6-2 this morning from Penrith Platform 1 to Preston Platform 5b (about 70+ miles) in my WCML (Autumn - Clear) and it was a lovely drive! I think this was a good choice....but of course I'm saying that now....takes the "sting" out of the purchase. (smile)
