AS A BOY ,AND THAT WAS LONG AGO.ON THIS DAY,SOME SURVIVORS OF THE CIVIL WAR WOULD SHOW UP...ALONG WITH THE MUCH YOUNGER VETS OF WW1..THEN IT WAS WW 2,NOT MANY LEFT...FOLLOWED BY KOREA THEY TOO LEAVING US...SEEMS EVERT GENERATION HAS ITS WAR...THE KIDS OF OLD ARE IN FARAWAY PLACES FOREVER YOUNG..THEIR FAMILY'S THINK OF THEM EVERY DAY....ALL SHOULD REMEMBER THEM THIS ONE DAY

Well, to put it (the passing of time) into perspective.......76 years ago this weekend (27th. May 1941) the Bismarck was sunk. That's three-quarters of a century. There aren't many of the WW2 veterans left anywhere in the world.
