August 1, 2018. The Old Hangar will be 20 years old on November 24th. I have had 4 (count 'em! FOUR) hard drives fail from old age and hardening of the arteries, and I'm running out of gas too. I'm looking for feedback folks, should we keep going? Seems like only a few visitors now. What do you think?

Well Tom...for selfish reasons I'm for keep it going. This is always the first place I visit everyday and the last I look before closing down for the evening. I find it strange that after all the years I spent in the military, there are only a couple folks I still keep in touch with. However, over the past 20 years.....many of the folks here seem like family to me. (smile)
Cheers,

Also check in in daily. Good to know that all those years of GW posts and threads are still available for reference. Assuming that keeping this forum open does not cause a financial consideration, I also would "vote" to keep it open.

So long as there is zero cost to keeping the site on-line, I'm all for keeping TOH alive, Tom. Like the others, I check in every day. To me, it is like wandering into ones favourite watering hole - if some of your mates are there, great. If not, then you keep walking and will call in tomorrow, or the next day. But the place is always there and it is comforting to see that is so. I created and continue to maintain a blog which was set up back in 2005 for the purpose of keeping a history of the first job I ever had. The site was initiated after a 30-year reunion we had in 2005 - the company having been absorbed into Otis Elevator in 1975. Last year I considered removing it....until the feedback I received strongly suggested that I leave it out there as a reference point, it (the site) being the only place in the world which presented a collection of information unavailable anywhere else. I had never thought of it from that point.....so it continues to exist and will do so until the internet stops, I guess. I feel that this philosophy should also apply to TOH, if possible.

I check in infrequently, but several times a month. This is my very first "flightsim Home", it's like going home, just not so active. It is a valuable resource which will be missed. Could the archive be home based elsewhere to keep the references? Perhaps as an appendix to California Classic Propliners?

Thanks, Tom. Even though you may not often log in, it's good to know that you're still there. And when you do log in, your smiling face helps make my day.

Tom, thanks for keeping this fantastic thing going. I check to see what might be happening every nite.....just don't have much to offer. I have been keeping myself busy (and a couple of hundred others happy) for the past two/three years updating and creating a lot of the smaller Florida airports. It's been fun! Later, FredZ
