Over years the I have occasionally regretted not bringing my MR2 over from England when I came back to Oz in 1994. I regret it even more now! Yeah....we have all been wise in hindsight. My father, back in 1968, was trading in his Vauxhall Cresta. He always used to trade every couple of years but by the time the next time came for him to update GMH had dropped Vauxhaull. So the dealer (in Taree) gave him the choice of two new Holden models, both sitting on the showroom floor. One was a white V8 Holden Premier, optioned up but with power steering instead of air-con; you couldn't have both as they wouldn't fit under the bonnet. One or the other. Here's an example.... The second car was a Silver Mink V8 327 Monaro Coupe. Here's an example of that car..... Guess which one he chose? Yep....the Premier, because it had four doors and he still had two kids at home. He always kicked himself about that decision!
