I just got home from it, and it was great! I missed the warbirds flight display, but I did see the FA-18, the Snowbirds, and the Harrier. The snowbirds put on a great show, and the harrier was unbelievable(not to mention loud).
Then, after all the aerial displays, I went over and looked at the warbirds. It was one of the greatest experiences. I got to see a zero start up, a p-39 start up, and they both took off nearby. Then, I watched a B-25 start up and taxi away from like 20 feet away, and it was the most amazing experience. I also saw all of the static displays, including the incredibaly huge C-5.

well everyone I just got back to Katy from the show... It was a beautiful day!!! Little chilly this morning but turned out very nice. Yeah man those Harriers are loud buggers! I have a couple of surprises in my photos that I'm going to up to my server. One is what you would see in the cockpit seat of Tarheel Hal - the P-47 and I also got some from seat T-6 shots and a back seat of a stearman. The first shot that you will all see are from my digital camera. Coming later are the 35mm, but I have to get those developed first.
yeah the snowbirds put on a classy show don't they. A very smooth flight all the way around, and they make it look so easy. As say the Blue Angels seem so much more aggressive compared to them. They did the Tora Tora Tora group again this year which is always fun to watch. Explosions and all that good stuff. The B-25 bombing run, B-17 bombing run, and the P-47, Corsiar, hellcat strafing runs were very nice. Give me a little bit and I'll have those uploaded for all to see.

I made it just in time to miss the tora tora flight, but also to see that amazing F/A-18. As the F/A-18 finished, I was standng in the c-17, and I was there to see the f-18 taxi past, with the pilots waving. The best thing about the snowbirds was that they are unbelievable in formation. I swear, they looked like one plane. but as I said, I definately think that the best experience came from watching the zero, p-39, and B-25 start up, taxi away, and take off. I really love radial engines, and that just made my day.
I took some pics on my camera phone, and my dad took some with his camera, but he only had the zoom lens so he didn't get that many of static planes.

Ok everyone... Here they are, there are about 80 some odd pics here and to get to the next page of them click the silver arrow pointing right at the top of the page. If you click on the pic it gets bigger and if you click again it goes to 1024x768... I didn't get a chance to rename them all but with all the pics I'll get around to it. As far as the close up in flight shots those will come once I get my 35mm film back. All of these are digital so the in flight shots are kind of far off... Hope you all like them... www.oc77th.com/modules.php?name=galleryit's at the bottom under Houston Airshow 2005

there were actually 3 of them there. The yellow one, and red one and a camo painted one... I tell ya what though, that F-4 was there and I was not expecting that at all and it flew. Only for about 5 minutes total but man that thing was cooking!!! He made about 3 high speed passes after take off and then landed. Holy cow that thing was fast! I didn't know it was flying so I didn't have my camera ready. When he went over I tried to get a shot of him but it was blurry and that one shot was all I got of it.

I thought the best looking solo flyby was the harrier. I didn't know it was that fast
