Thankyou for your greetings. And thanks again to Tom and Roger for the invitation and their encouragement. I hope I'm able to make a useful contribution to what I view as the best FS forum around. Short bio: Age 63, retired. Been flying MSFS since FS98. Member of TOH since Aug, 2005. With that said................. HELP!! I am not a 'technical wizard' by any stretch. My knowledge of hardware/driver/tweaking issues is general, at best. Most of the assistance I have given in the past is more related to software issues within and around Flight Simulator, and the GW3 and SW add-ons. I know that amongst our staff and members, there are those who do have the knowledge I lack. To make this 'technical forum' successful we are going have to rely on you to share your expertise. As Tom mentioned: When it comes to troubleshooting technical issues, there are so many variables, it is important that you include as much info. as you can with your questions. System specs, OS, relevant driver versions, detailed error messages if any(quote if possible), screenshots, and at least a brief history of the problem, all help in sorting out causes and/or solutions. Hopefully, with your help, this forum will allow us all to have the best simulator experience possible. Here's wishing you all pleasant skies, soft landings, and >25FPS. Cheers, Dave

Just to say welcome to the Old Hanger as the host of this forum, Dave!! A forum like this is definitely needed and I thank Tom and Roger for implementing it. ;D I would have to say without even even thinking about it, that I, like many others I'm sure, spend close to half of my sim life 'tweaking' and even more time tweaking what I just tweaked and the rest of the time un-tweaking what was just tweaked!! Then, whenever there is a spare moment, I flyyyyyyyyyy!! Amazing really, the time it involves - but, that's half the fun, I guess! So, that being said, hopefully this forum will help us all have more 'flying' time! As many here know, my biggest issue has always been frame rates - seems my ol' 80's style 8-bit Commodore just isn't what it used to be . . . I don't believe I have ever seen 25 fps - if I ever did, I don't know what I would do - probably scare the living hell out of me!! Again, welcome! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Dave3cu................I love your stinsons. Such a beautiful ship to look at. Sorry to say they love the ground and hate to leave it. "Ground lovers" the pilots called them... Jim

Jim, Thanks, but I can't take credit for any Stinsons. If your referring to my sig: Those are Howard DGA-15's that, for the last few years, have gathered at 3CU for a weekend prior to flying on to AirVenture. (And the Steerman at the far end) Howards at 3CU. Dave
