I recently downloaded and installed The Graf....It's all it was talked up to be....However,one problem..All the flights appear as they should ,exepting the two involving the Lakehurst Hanger....No hanger appears, just a grove of trees surrounding The Graf in each instance.....Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated...Thanks.....JimOH

I did a quick search and found a German site that had posted a link to here... explains the sudden jump in downloads. The site: www.flusipilot.de/I think the PM idea will keep your bandwidth a lot safer .

The link itself wasn't posted, but everyone at www.wcm.at/forum was pointed at your announcement (http://www.wcm.at/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=189338). Maybe it was here which exceeded the d/ls. By the way, I consider it kind of strange, that a product, which came out as payware (!) in November 2005 at a price of $ 12.50, now, only 4 months later becomes freeware. Having paid the 12.50 I somehow feel hoaxed. Mike.

It wasn't released as "freeware," it was generously given to the Old Hanger members for their use and not for public free release. I paid for mine when Bill first released as I have with all his other releases and never felt hoaxed. Personally I think Bill has had it with the nitpickers out there and decided not to deal with them anymore.

Ok that's something different - already having a copy I didn't check out the conditions of use for the now chosen way of distribution. Additionally 12.50 isn't "the world", thank God, so one (and I include myself) can live with that, though a kind of 'shallow taste' remains. But ok, it was Bill's (and Lynn's) decision - I have to accept it. ...and the thing still IS worth every cent paid for it!!! Michael.

Until I got on the team I paid for every one of Bill's Fs2002 and Fs2004 packs and I regret not at all that I supported one of our best designers, even though they were all eventually offered as freeware. The Graf was just going to lie in a virtual cupboard until Bill decided to offer it to us as a special Old Hangar download and whether you paid or not it is clearly better that it found a way out to the public than remained locked up. Unfortunately it seemed to find it's way on to too many sites for our bandwidth costs to remain at an affordable level; you may remember that the Custom Classics were offered as payware to help Bill pay for his bandwidth.

I got my $12.50 out of it, long before it became free. *grin*

Regarding Bill letting us have the Graf for free download here, due to a variety of circumstances, Bill withdrew from the hobby for a while. He and his wife Lynn made some business decisions and formed a new company which will create FS Addons to be distributed in a totally different way. The Graf became a loose end. The old Custom Classics distribution method was gone, the new one not appropriate. He responded to the few people who still wanted to buy it by giving it away through this website. I won't characterize the flusi.de crowd, but showing a picture of the Graf with a download link directly back here is poor netiquette at best. There have been 373 requests for the file since I disabled it. Thank you flusi.de
I have Bill's permission to seek other solutions within certain limits and I am doing so at this time. If nothing materializes between now and April 1, I will make the Graf availble to those who request it via PM to a limit of 20 per day. I will change the filename daily as well if necessary. All requests received BEFORE April 1 will be ignored. Those who have done so will need to re-request after April 1.

That's all very interesting Herr Beckmann, but VERY iinaccurate. As of yesterday morning there have been more than 800 hits on GrafZep.zip from flusipilot.de. I am attaching a picture below which shows the article on your front page and you will note the link in the status bar that one gets when one mouses over the picture of the Graf. The truth is Herr Beckmann, more than 800 of your users have attempted to download the Graf directly from my web space using MY bandwidth. Now unlike flusipilot.de, theoldhangar is NOT a business, it is a hobby and all expenses are paid out of my pocket. I simply can't afford to provide your website with free downloads. Your lack of concern for others has cost me cash out of pocket to keep The Old Hangar open and that is not right. Please remove that article immediately as the link is no longer good (and will never be good again.)

Tom, I truely understand your anger and it's a shame that people just cannot accept a generous gift and then shut up.
I am sure, though, there still are many (like me) who would be interested to purchase the Graf. From what I saw of this addon it's well worth the little money, so my question why not making it available through a distributor like simmarket ?
Cheers Albert
