Since yesterday, I have been unable to load the Zepplin .ACV. Everything worked fine until then. I don't recall any changes that might account for this. When I go to Options/Active Camera/Load settings and select the proper .ACV, everything seems fine until I try to access the different views in the Zepplin Package ie., Cntrl 1, 2, etc. Any ideas what might be causeing this?

Gunny..... let me ask a stupid question..... with the Active Camera active, you are trying to load the different views from the correct screen (VC View?)
I only ask as Bill's 2D and VC panel view look so much the same I've caught myself trying the old ctrl. 2 from the wrong view.
Other than that..... maybe someone else has some ideas.
Best wishes, Steve R.

SgtMajor,
Not a stupid question at all. SgtMajor's are incapable of asking stupid questions:-), But the answer to your questions is no, I am in the VC mode and no joy. SemperFi

SgtMajor's are incapable of asking stupid questions Hmm..... Gunny.... Obviously we know different folks. (smile) Partner.... Unfortunately I am at a loss on this one.... however, if it was working previously and now it isn't.... it has to be something easy that I'm not familiar with. Recently the lighting was kicking my backside and I just missed turning up the lights rendered obtions......I was embarrassed when Bill posted the reply to my question.... but I sure overlooked it. Maybe someone else will be kind enough to lend a hand or have a suggestion. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. Best wishes, Steve R.

Reinstalled Active Camera and LZ125. Now I can't access the activation code for the Zepplin. Someone up there doesn't like me. Hope Bill will answer this one.

First make sure Active Camera is working by selecting internal view on the menu. Next push the 4 key on the numpad. If you start sliding over to the left then all is well. If the view changes to looking left then Active camera is not active. Next, go to "Window" mode in the sim. Now pull down the AC menu. Click on load view configuration. You will be presented with a screen that shows your root fsgw3 folder which is where acv files are always stored. . Select LZ127.acv and close the menu. You can now use the control key and 1-8 to move to the desired station on board LZ127. Bill

Newcomer having problems with active camera. Every time I try to set up active camera following the instructions two things happen. I get a load of on screen messages stating 'nonexistant directory: c:\program files\games\ flightsim9\aircraft\scenery\aisia\scenery. click ok to continue. ' this happens again with a slightly different path and again and again.... most frustrating ! I have tried everything I can think of including complete re-install twice, anticyclone.be help say it is a microsoft problem. It worked fine the very first time I installed, but now it will not respond at all, in any mode or configuration. any help would be much appreciated.

Is this the correct path to your flightsim? c:\program files\games\flightsim9 That is the path you indicated in your message? That is where Active Camera is looking for it and not finding it. That sounds like a registry problem at first glance. Please copy exactly at least 3 of the varied error messages so I can look for a pattern. Also please post the exact path to your flightsim 9 folder.

Dear Tom, I believe correct path is as follows:- c:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator 9. My path to fsgw3 is of course different and I have not tried active camera there yet. It's far too precious ! Ok three examples of error messages appear as this :- scenery read error. attempting to open a nonexistant directory : c:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator9\aircraft\scenery\aisa\scenery. click ok to continue. this is followed by next error message :- scenery read error. attempting to open a nonexistant directory : c:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator9\scenery\namw\scenery. click ok to continue. and third message :- scenery read error. attempting to open a nonexistant directory : c:program files\microsoft games\flight simulator9\scenery\ocen\scenery. click ok to continue. following three messages are the same path continueing through to \generic\ then through to \vehicles\ then through to \airport scenery\. I am not very experienced in computer use as you may guess, and have probably missed something obvious, but I very much appreciate you taking time to help. I look forward to learning where I have been going wrong. Kind regards and thanks, Jim.

Dear Tom, I think I have finally figured what happened to active camera ! I can now move around the Graf using the ctrl 1 and other button comands as it should be. Here is what I found. I started checking out all file paths as you suggested and found an error with the cfg file of active camera, for some unknown reason the ms dos name was entered as :- dod.cfg. Why this could have occurred is a mystery to me. To fix the problem all I had to do was re-name the file to ' acv.cfg ' and problem fixed ! As I said before, I am not very skilled in computing, but I am learning. I hope this may also help others who may come accross similar problems, Moral here is, if possible check the files are what they are supposed to be. Again many thanks for taking time to help. Now back to enjoying the Graf.........

Dear Tom, me again. I'm afraid active camera has made a fool of me once more. after working once as it should, it has reverted to not responding to the ctrl commands and also putting up those scenery error messages again ! I can only conclude that my pc is somehow at fault and will have to admit defeat. unfortunatly there is no computer shop where I live to have it checked over by an expert so things will have to stay as they are, although I will still enjoy graf even without those very special features. Pity, I was looking forward to learning how to get the radio to play period music. Thanks very much for your help, I will keep an eye on the forums to continue the learning process. Kind regards, Jim.

Aha ! forums to the rescue. At last I have discovered what I was actually getting wrong. (told you I was not very hot on computers) Now I can start to learn how to work the other features on the Graf, (such as how to load the music into the period radio ? ) meanwhile I think I will just relax and enjoy the scenery as it passes slowly by below.......

I think the Graff Zeppelin is fantastic. And I've only seen the flightdeck. I downloaded the trial version of active camera thinking that if the hidden parts of the Graff are half as good as the rest,I'll buy it.I can't get it to work despite reading the readme files and manuals.I have the Graff Zeppelin installed in GW and in FS9 and I've tried Active camera in gw and when it did'nt work I uninstalled it and installed it to FS9 and I can't get it to work there either.I've checked the rest of this thread and followed the instructions exactly but I can't get it to work. I open FS9 at Tacoma,go into VC view and then into windowed mode pull down menu tick internal view load and select LZ127.acv click OK.This returns me to inside view.I press num pad 4 and I don't slide,I get the left view which tells me that Active camera is not working. Control 1 to 8 are not working. I've followed all of the instructions,so I'm stuck now.Hope someone can help. Terry

Ok: 2 dumb questions to get an idea of what may be wrong.
1- Is your numpad active? you need to activate it if not.
2- Are you using the full AC or only the trial version? AC's trial version only works around Seattle. If you go anywhere else, it won't work at all. Only if you buy and get the activation code, you'll be able to have a 100% working AC module. Not sure all the other items are availaible in trial version, tho. I have AC since it was free (many years ago) and don't remember how the trial version works.
