I read in the FAQ that these programs simply won't work with some computers. To begin with, then, I have an ASUS AMD Athlon 64 2.2gh processor, 2GB RAM, nVidia GeForce7800, Windows XP, with MSFS2004.
I have Golden Hawaii on three different computers. On my main "gaming" computer (described above) I cannot get the engines to start on the Sikorsky, even trying all the different instructions from the kneeboard or with Ctrl E. On a different computer with XP, they start just fine with Ctrl E, as they do on my computer with W2K.
What in the world is preventing them from starting on my main computer on which I want to fly this a/c? (Yes, I have switched to the GH time/scenery.) If I use the aircraft in regular FS "time," not the GH time, the flight starts the usual way with the engines running.
I would uninstall and try reinstalling, but there isn't an uninstall option (that I can find) with GH. Should I delete all the files or just try to reinstall and over-write what's there?
And also, oddly enough, now if I fly around Hawaii with any other a/c and in regular FS "time," all I'm getting are the 1936 airports, not the current ones. So GH managed to over-write all my standard Hawaii scenery??? How do I get it back? (I do have the program backed up on another drive, so I can fly from there if I want to fly around Hawaii in current time, so this second problem isn't as dire, though annoying).
I really hope the only option isn't to uninstall MSFS2004 and start everything all over again. I dread the idea of having to reload all my OTHER add-ons.
Any suggestions? Or what have I done wrong/am doing wrong?
Thanks.
