Gentlemen: Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your site. Bill Lyons sent me here and thought you may be of help.
I have a copy of Golden Hawaii, but have never been able to fully utilize it on FS9 because I have so much "new" scenery added that I can not get back to a "clean slate", needed by Golden Hawaii to give me the Hawaii in the 30's flavor. I have heard mention of a way that you can actually run two FS9's on your computer, one for new stuff and a second "clean" one that would be utilized for Golden Hawaii. PC Aviator magazine mentioned this and gave a thumbnail sketch about how it could be done, and I tried it, and failed miserably. Still trying to undue the damage I did. It also said a more detailed procedure to run two FS9's could be found, and I am hping to find it here. If any of you have the solution, I would LOVE to hear it, as I have ties in Hawaii that go way back (to the late 40's) and would love to return to this more gentle era in the Islands.
Thanks again.
Sincerely, Stewart S. Leber

Hi, Stewart. I don't have THE solution, but the solution am using is to have a seperate installation of FS9 with Bill Lyons' Golden Wings 3. His instructions for GW3 include two methods of installing a seperate FS9 for it, and they work beautifully. Moreover, since GW3 sets an environment that basically covers the decade of the 1930s, it's the perfect platform for Golden Hawaii, and that is the installation in which I run Golden Hawaii full time.
I believe there is a link here for downloading Golden Wings 3, but I haven't kept track. If you can't find it, send me a note by private mail and I'll make a copy of the directions for installing a second FS9 into your computer. It's not that hard; I currently run 4 copies.

Golden Wings can be found here: www.goldenwings.info/It includes detailed instructions for creating a second install and then converting it to a 1930's look & feel. Even if you don't want Golden Wings, the instructions work well. Basically, rename your current FS9 install folder to FS9OLD, Install FS9 again completely including the FS9.1 update. Then rename THAT new folder to FSGW3. Rename FS9OLD back to the original name. To create a seperate cfg file (recommended) go into the FSGW3 folder and rename FS9.exe to GW3.exe I have 3 versions running here.
