Hi everyone, I really enjoy driving Bill's cars to get an up-close look at sceneries. The problem is that when I throttle back to idle, the motor quits on me. Can I change anything in the .cfg file to prevent this? Also, sometimes the cars go Chitty-chitty-bang-bang on me ;D -- is there a way to edit the .cfg to keep them from getting airborn??
thanks much, Chris

To be honest, I've never looked at his cars. I would assume that you can step up the idle by going to [GeneralEngineData] and upping the min_throttle_limit to something like 0.3 or so. You might have to tinker with it to keep it from racing away when you're at idle.
As for having the car go airborne on you, you might try going to [airplane_geometry] and reducing the wing area to something like 3 square feet. No wing, no lift, no lift, no fly?

If they were made for Fs2002 the suffer the same problem as 2002 planes. They won't idle for long.
I changed the aircraft.cfg to read as below...
[GeneralEngineData] engine_type=0 Engine.0=2.400000,0.000000,0.000000 fuel_flow_scalar=0.100000 min_throttle_limit = 0.0 ***(this entry is upped to 0.100000 from 0.000000). numbers up to 0.300000 may be required to keep an Fs2002 engine idling without cutting out.
