After many fun-filled hours flying Bill and Lynn's classic Goose, I purchased a new machine and have now reinstalled FS2004 and all the Custom Classic aircraft and adventures. They work fine. Somehow I messed up in reeinstalling the Goose. It shows up on the aircraft list in the FS2004 pre-flight screen, but no picture-just a black screen. I had a hunch something was wrong when I wasn't prompted for my password on the install. Being fearful to go mucking about in the files trying to correct my mistakes, I'm asking the experts for advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi Spad, I'd try a reinstall of the Goose first and see what happens. Let us know.
Cheers,
Roger.

Let me guess...
You have an Nvidia card?
The new drivers all have this problem (I suffer from it too). I know of no fix for it. IT is an antialiasing issues in the rendering window.
Try just flying the plane, it should load up fine.
Cheers Shad

On my Nvidia card I get the black menu box at 4x and above in anti-aliasing (from the Nvidia menu not the sims...it's better to leave the sim's anti-aliasing un checked).

ME TO! I lost the preview picture, and got the black rectangle. My currant driver is 91.47,card nividia 6600gt.What I did was to have the anti anti aliasing setting checked, application controlled. The anisotropic setting at 8.Then go to settings in fs9,hardware, check the box,anti- anti aliasing. If all seems Ok,like mine, then decide for your self. Now alls OK for me. WHEW!! Big woids! VIN hope it works!
