If you are someone with some problem solving and organizational skills and a lot of spare time, The Old Hangar needs a "Keeper of the FAQ" for Custom Classics and/or Golden Wings 3. What the unpaid volunteer position would require is searching through all the posts looking for questions and answers, creating and updating the FAQ post whenever needed. You will see the one I started so long ago, that can be used as a model or a start point or just an idea of what can be done. Ideally we would have a FAQ for Custom Classics here and for Golden/Silver Wings in that forum. It will be a lot of tedious, time consuming work so don't volunteer lightly. Also, it need not be only one person.

Welcome aboard Jim, here's a link to the one I started for Custom Classics. mainescenery.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=ccs&action=display&thread=1124409011You can see that I took a question someone asked in a post and cut and pasted it along with the answer. That's the general idea. Just read through the Golden/Silver Wings forum and find good questions with good answers and paste them into a FAQ message that grows as you have time. No rush, no deadlines, just do it at your speed. Any thing will be better than not having one.

You've got the idea Jim, but I don't want to add GW3 stuff to the Custom Classics FAQ. Please begin a new FAQ in the Golden/Silver Wings folder.Once you start it, you will have editing privileges.

Tom, and the group.... I sincerely hope you will tell me if I do something wrong or put something in the wrong place because I am flying blind here and know I need help. Please don't allow me to get way in the hole before you let me know. Thank you all... Jim

My Dear Tom and Roger.... It is with a heavy heart that I must submit my resignation to helping with THE OLD HANGER. I know how Bill Lyons must have felt when he had to leave the computer and flying. I have been advised also that I MUST STOP FOR AT LEAST 4 MONTHS my using the computer. I fear I will go crazy without it, but what can you do. No tv and no computer. Boy this is a hard one to take, but I am not a kid any more, so I guess I will get through it okay. Please listen to me when I say, back off from your computer use. Give it a rest because this problem can happen to anyone I am told.
I will sure miss all you great guys.. Mydeapest admiration Jim flightsimjim
