Ok so my names Isaac Adler, you probably don't know me, but lately i've been working on conversions for many FS9 planes. (you can read about some in the signature)
My current project is taking the default FS9 glider, and giving it a rocket engine, making it The Word's First Rocket Powered Motor Glider!!!
I'm almost finished, except there's one problem. No matter what I try, Flight Simulator won't let me put Fuel in it. And i DO have fuel tanks. HUGE fuel tanks.
So if anybody can help, either comment on this, or email me at: leopardjet@att.net

Hello Isaac,
My guess - and I am totally new to it ;D - is that your problem may have to do with the aircraft you chose as a template. Are you using FSEdit? Did you choose the default Schweizer? Perhaps another one should be used.... just guessing.
Here's from the FSEdit SDK:
...and this one may be more on the subject:
...or
Hope it helps!

This is already being done. It is called VET (virtual engine technology) and is used to simulate a winch launch as a limited amount of fuel is used that just gets the sailplane to around 1,500 feet. Check out our site at www.virtualsoaring.org/goto.html for VET sailplanes or check out Wolfgang Piper's site at www.fsglider.de/ for new sailpanes to use.
