wow gil,
my sources turned up nothing so far, and that's rare. Not one shot...
This must be one of those 'never been done' jobbies. so that would rule out peeking...
hope you find something, cuz i really like it now!!

Hello greybeardgil, WOW..... about 6 months ago I think I remember coming across a shot of the inst. pnl.... but then again I'm old and look at TOO many web pages etc. (smile) I'll take a look around...... however, you might try this site if you haven't already. (Maybe the links area......) I'm only saying that.... as I spend a lot of time drooling.....er......researching aircraft etc. there. Best wishes, Steve R. www.airminded.net/

Gil, I think I have what you want. Try these photos. Years ago, I researched the Travel Air Mystery Ship (which also included the Texaco 13 flown by Capt Frank Hawks). J.L. Stubbs later took my findings (which as you have already learned are rare and difficult to find) and produced a series of 3 FS98 panels for Paul Grubich's Mystery Ships. Here's hoping success in this project. BTW, will you be offering the Teaco 13 or any of the other TA schemes? Just wondering KB

WOW!....Kevin that is just what the doctor ordered!...and much much better on these old eyes too! Thank you very much these 2 pics will GREATLY help the the VC cockpit modeling. With the Timely New work from Bill and Lynn these G.A. Racers will be welcome additions to the fleet now!We are just about ready to Beta test our upcoming Monocoupe 110 Clipwing Special so while Spad is texturing away I thought I would start modeling our next project which is as you would guess is the ole Mystery ship!Yes we are planning on doing both the original as well as Frank Hawks Texaco 13...and maybe if I can twist both of Spad's arms...Jimmy Doolittle's Shell Oil model as well!!....Thank you once again Kevin...and also how much I enjoy your fine website too!!...all the Best Gil

Hi Guys, I also am building a Mystery Ship. This is my first plane for FS and it's been quite an adventure. Perhaps we could exchange information. I have a ton of pics of 1313 from the museum here, though none of the cockpit. It's kind of hard to get a cockpit shot when it's haging 20 feet off the ground. Let me know if you'd like to. I'm pretty far along on modeling the basic shapes in FSDS, but decided to start over again in Gmax to avoid possible conflicts with FS10. I'll post some pics of the project later today... Kevin
