Hi All, This thread is to start a discussion as to what direction folks would like to see addons go in Golden Wings. You can tell by our posts that we who have been involved in getting the core GW up and running would like to see more people get involved to make period airports and sceneries that we can all share and that will be a wonderful thing. In order to pay the bills we must be getting back to building some payware packages one of these days. The first package will be the Graf Zeppelin and we have gotten just about everything working now so it will be out pretty soon. After that we have some thoughts but would like to hear yours..? Thanks, Lynn and Bill

I agree with Kofi of course, but in the interest of starting the discussion... Besides those we have discussed in the past, one that has never been done is the Boeing 80a-1 www.ruudleeuw.com/spl-olddays.htm Bottom of the page

Well Bill I'd love to see a D.H. 60 Gypsy Moth done to your usual outstanding standards! (being British, a lover of old biplanes especially from DeHavilland I might be biased though! )

A couple of excellent ideas there! I did climb up as far as I could to peek into the 80a-1 when I was visiting Seattle one time! It's an awesome plane Thanks, Bill

I don't know what made me start thinking about it, but I've been looking for a Myers OTW for a few days now and I dont' think it has been done yet. Neat GW vintage airplane methinks.
Cheers,
Phil

Being fond of landing on water, I'm still looking for more amphibians/floatplanes/flying boats. If it can get its feet wet, it's fine with me. I make an exception for the Graf, which is superb also. There are already S-40's in the water and the air at Dinner Key, but I can't fly them... A Mars flying boat would also be nice. But both would bring a tremendous amount of work, I'm afraid. Whatever you make, Bill and Lynn, it's always high quality stuff and I'm always looking forward to your creative talents wherever they lead us.

I'd love to see an old Short Calcutta, or Martin "China Clipper" (hasn't been done since fs98!) flying boat, or more of the old classic air racers, like the Howards ("Pete"/"Mike"/"Ike"/"Mr.Mulligan") or Wittmans ("Bonzo"/"Buster"/"Chief Oshkosh")

Hi, Bill, thanks for taking input on possible projects. If I were going to buy a new airplane in the fall of 1929, it would be either a Wright powered Waco ASO straight wing or a Ryan Bougham, but what I really want - would even pay money to get - is a straight through, one-stop, start to finish tutorial on how to build an airplane so I could finish - no, start - my Stearman C3B. Any chance that anyone out there could put something so unglamorous together for us beginners? jim

Hey Bill & Lynn, First, let me say how amazed I was that you released all of your past Custom Classics as freeware! I paid for the Goose and Challenger and have gotten alot of enjoyment out of them, and now having all of them, it almost feels like robbery!!! Thanks! Then you release Golden Wings, and wow have I been having a great time with it! I haven't touched regular FS9 since it came out! Anyway, to the point of this post (my first here at The Old Hangar by the way), I would love to see a DHC-2 Beaver with the Lyons touch! I realize it's not pre-war and that there are several freeware and payware designs of it, but I still would like to have one from the best in the business! Well, that's my two bits. Oh, by the way, Scotland is gorgeous in GW3! I spent almost 45 minutes over Loch Ness last night with no Nessie sightings, but the lake sure was pretty!

How could you go wrong with anything related to the Golden Age of flight?!? ;D
However... A Douglas DC-2 or perhaps some old airmail route scenery (light beacons, airfields, etc) would be nice, as I don't think they've been done yet. Or, how about a GW3 version of locations found in some of the old classic airplane films?
I'm sure anything with the "Lyons touch" will exceed expectations!

Hello, the GW3 is the best ever happened to the Flight Simulator. For future Add Ons, I would like to see more old / adapted sceneries like cities and airports. For something to fly with, how about a Klemm 35. www.biplanes.de/schameder_02/klemm35/klemm35_03.htmIt would nicely fit to the Zeppelin. Steffen
