Hey Brian, Thanks for the hu! ;D ps I added a little shine (don't tell Tim ;D) Naughty boy! ;D How did you do it? Did you just add more 'alpha' to the textures using PaintShop Pro or something? Brian

I just had a nice flight in a rain storm in Pennsylvania from Piper Memorial to Bellefonte. Lovely.

Brian Hi Brian, I use the 'model shine' program from Wuhwuzdat. I put it in the 'tips' forum at the SOH I really like it and use it on many 'flat' models. Just suits personal preference

Roger, your version with the 'shine' looks great! How can we get that version - or do we have to have the program from Whwuzdat to fix the original version? I'm not familiar with the process nor SOH. Can you let me know - since that really does add a nice effect to the entire aircraft. Thanks, Dan

If you have any problem getting the parts to make up the utility, pm me with an e.mail addy and I'll send it to you. Cheers Roger

Does any one out there have a good representation of the engine sounds for this great Boeing Monomail? It used a P&W Hornet R-1690, 9-cylinder, 575 hp engine. The engine was also used in Boeings' Model 45/80/95, Douglas 0-38, Faucett F-19, Consolidated Fleetster, and many others in various configurations and hp. Naturally, the 1930 version of the engine would be best. I have tried several sound packages including the earlier Corsairs, but seems the only ones that sound close to that era engine are modified sounds for an A6M2 Zero - several out there with different sound packages. Also, in researching this Boeing Monorail 221, I came across this site, noted below, that has a picture of an original good looking paint scheme for this plane. I'm not a painter, but for anyone who is - this really gives the plane a good look!! www.boeing.com/history/boeing/monomail.html

If anyone missed the release of this plane last October like I did, I just found Howard Hughes' H1B over at the Sim-Outhouse - H1B.zip - by Tim Piglet Conrad. This is a rendition of the one used in the recent movie "The Aviator".
I would post a picture of it, but have no idea how to do that. Anyway, it is there if anyone is interested - in Tim Conrad's usual excellent quality!

Hi Dan, I used to be the Fs admin over at the SOH so I know that the downloads are pretty good. ;D. There's a pack of Steve Myers Fleet with a pack of Leons' paints in the Fs2004 downloads that's ready to go and a nice WWI pack of Stuart Green's Models made flyable in Fs2004.
Cheers
Roger
