I have relatively simple "needs" for scenery. I just need to rearrange our home airport, for now, and add a hangar with a unique color, and writing on it. For that, I'm wondering if someone would want to do it for me? Otherwise, I'll look into those two flight1 products. To make the hangar with the writing on it is a whole separate operation, neither of the Flight1 programs are capable of that. You would need to master one of the construction tools to make one yourself, but perhaps you could find something close enough in one od the existing libraries or get someone who uses those tools to make the hangar for you. I lack the will to learn those programs myself so I content myself with ready made libraries of objects.

After reading through the advert, I noticed they said "remove" objects. Are they talking about the objects you put on with the program, or is it pre-existing objects within FS9, too? It says you can delete objects with Instant scenery but I have never tried. I have used the exclusion function in AFX to remove unwanted objects and then added new ones with Instant Scenery. Both programs have a limited demo available, so it might be a good idea to download those and mess with a Seattle area airport to see what the programs can do.

No Scruffy, I'm talking about GMAX models I've created while making scenery for this hobby of ours.

Smilingthru, Post a picture of the hangar, and I'll see what I can do! FSX or FS9 MoCat FS9 Here's a picture of the hangar. It's a very basic, steel arched roof hangar, with one exception: It has a square "office" on the off side that you can't see from the pic; the people are standing in front of it. Thanks for the help! Ok, shouldn't be to difficult! I'll work on it this evening.
However, there are a few things I need to know!
1. FS9 or FSX? 2. Do you want interrior/Exterrior lighting? 3. Do you want animated doors? if so.... a. Animate on a radio freq. -or- b. Animate on distance from the structure. 4. What airfield do you want it placed.....or do you want it in a library so that you can place? 5. If you want it placed, then I will need the airport name and location. 6. Also I will need a grid coordinate from the MAP to determine where you want it!
I'll guess at the building adjacent to the main hangar.....unless you have another picture!
Respond as soon as possible.....once complete I'll forward via e-mail.
Regards,
MoCat

Smilingthru, ;D OK, the main structure is complete....I'm working on the side building. Model will not be complete until tomorrow. I thought you might like to see some pic's of the progress. Here you go! Regards, MoCat P.S. Forget about the door question. With picture enlarged, I could tell the hangar didn't have doors or lights!

Just about complete, should be ready sometime this evening.
I'm going to create as a rwy12 library! That's a freeware program that allows you to see the object as you place it in the scenery. That way you can place it anywhere your heart desires.

Wow! Thanks for the fast work! Unfortunately I work on a military base and can't see the pics, but I can see it at home. The hangar is located at KTNU in Newton, Iowa. If you are able to do so, could you place it in the "North corner" of the airport? The runway runs NW/SE, as you can see, and you have to taxi across a bunch of grass to get to it. Once I figure this scenery thing, I can sort through it..... Or, could I send you an actual Google Earth pic of the airport, and beg and plead for you to do it? Please??? Seriously, if it's not a real bother, I can't imagine a quicker way to "git'er'done." Thanks a TON!

Yeah, Simile is like, but not quite, Smile. I like it too.
I finally got home and was able to see it. That looks really nice, so far. "Smiling" though would be better than "Similing" but I was told that beggars can't be choosers.
Really, I'm as excited as a kid on Christmas morning about all this!
Thanks a bunch!
