Just a wee wind-up. I know it's name and history but I'm looking for a better picture (or even a 3-view) of this oddball. Anyone care to guess what it is? I'll put up the info I have later, if anyone is interested. Leyland

I like the nifty idea of using wing-nuts to secure the shrouding around the engine....very aeronautical. As for the natty hat with the coat and tie....the picture of sartorial elegance. It's the Gnosspelius Gull, I think. Bruce.

Might have guessed you would be the one, Bruce - congrats on the breadth of your knowledge! Here are the texts that accompanied the photos main picture: and picture with pilot: I suppose this means nobody does have a 3-view or better picture? Leyland

Leyland, The congrats were not earned......although I'd seen a pic of the aircraft before (in a book or magazine, some years ago), I couldn't remember what it was, so I Googled the registration.
I have looked through what written references I have and can't find anything, I'm sorry.
Regards, Bruce
