This may already be a known resource here, but for those that aren't familiar, take a peek at historicals.ncd.noaa.gov/historicals/histmap.aspAt the "Select a type" drop down choose "Aeronautical Charts" and then submit. Some of the links are populated, but it is still an interesting site.

Ok, I must be dense because none of the maps display for me!
Is there something I should be doing?

Kevin, All I do is enter a keyword or choose a map category and then when the search is finished, click on the "Preview" button and the image is displayed. Is this what you are doing?
Here at work I use Internet Explorer and the video card is nothing special. At home I use Firefox and the video card is a GeForce thingy. No problem in seeing the image on either.

Yes, I' downloaded a number but many were unavailable. I'll have to email the web master.

Yes...some do now seem unavailable. I stumbled across this site some time ago while doing some genealogy research. At that time, it seemed to be fully populated. Although not related to flying, the Civil War maps are quite interesting as well. I actually found names of some of my ancestors on a few of them as they labeled the properties on a few.
