I recently sent this to Bookman..but perhaps others at the Old Hangar might have some information.
I acquired a postal cover (envelope) sent by airmail from Hankow China in May 1938 (just prior to it's fall to the Japanese) to England. It was to connect with Imperial Airways in Hong Kong. I am trying to research this entire route. The Imperial segments I know.
I am trying to determine the route from Hankow to Hong Kong.
Would anyone have any routing information on CNAC or Eurasia Airways for that time period?
Shanghai and Nanking had already fallen to the Japanese in 1937 as had the coastal cities. But Eurasia was basically operated by Luft Hansa and CNAC joint partnership with Pan AM (not yet at War with the US)..so an easterly route could still have been possible. The cover was postmarked on May 24th and seems to have arrived on May 26th in Hong Kong.
Any information it would be much appreciated.
Reagrds, Royce

Belov- Thats for those great links..very, very much appreciated! Also opens up a other information I was looking for.
Loening C-2H amphibian would make a nice addition to the old hangar surely.

I've created two 1935 flightplans; one for Shanghai to Canton and the other for Shanghai to Chengtu.
There are significant omissions from the default Flight Simulator China and many of the locations mentioned in these old timetables are missing.
However, the file chnapt2.zip, available from Flightsim.com, provides a large number of airports and the gaps were able to be filled.
If anyone is interested I can email these to you, including FSN plans for those who use FSNavigator.
