Like the updates Paul! For repaints you'll need to take a copy of one of the default texture folders' contents and copy into the repaints saying NO! to overwrites. Then copy from a default texture folder, Stearman_4.bmp into all the repaints. That way you'll get a pilot texture in the repaints.

Thanks for pointing that out Roger! I had not thought of the effect on repaints!

I'll leave to the group regarding the pilot figure. It's easy enough to put the old fella back! Probably won't for the FSX ppl but not a big deal to put him back for FS9. Looks like FSX accelerator and DX10 is going to cause huge problems for older models. Microsoft strikes again

Isn't the accelerator just an expansion pack? Microsoft secretly patching bugs...

Well the FS9 upgrade is completed and thanks for all the help and advise. The pilot's animation has been returned and he is endlessly scanning the skies. The textures have been refined once again and a 2D cockpit has been placed in each model at the request of customers that have purchased it over the year. The update will also be uploaded to AvSim, SOH and FlightSim As for the FSX version? Thats finished as well and I am in MoCats debt for helping fix the texture woes caused by FSX Accelerated and SP2. It was a nightmare and took literally weeks to get fixed. For those that are interested it will be up on our site later this week. On another note FSX SP2 totally screwed up the Pitcairn. Another Microsoft disaster, but with the help of concerned customers and MoCat once again, the patch is nearing completion, but the scenery package is FUBARED and may never be corrected. The a/c patch will be a compromise at best. Anyway......this clears the way to get going on the D 25 (I hope! LOL) We hope you enjoy the new version www.goldenagesimulations.com/GAS/StearmanFs9.2.0.zipBest Paul

Man you work fast! I'd still be staring at the screen wondering how to start. ;D
Certainly will be a nice package when it's finished.

Hi, just going through on latest messages, just to offer some little encouragement via SP2, have been spending way too much time adapting FS9 to FSX SP2, have the autogyro, read message, did quick and dirty on cleaning up prop and rotor, used alpha channel from freeware JU-52 and Kellet autogyro, hell, everything looks great to me! Gauges all there, inside, outside look their beautiful normal, took quick hop, might of missed something but really don't see the problem stated earlier this thread. Do get mystery message on loading textures, that is "failure to load engine4_bmp" Who knows? no such texture file, perhaps somethining left over and never utilized but remains in the original mdl? If you don't have the alert specified in the cfg file you will never see the error message. Long way of saying with a little black magic and work things 85% of the time convert over to SP2, SP2, it is one step forward and two steps back in a lot of ways... The autogyro, It is a really nice aircraft, well done. My appreciation. Jacques

I'll get an update posted soon. Just to let all know how we're doing, the exterior model is completed, expecting a delivery of parts for the VC from Gil and will be starting textures this weekend. Jim (jimslost) has the flight dynamics nearly done and I can assure it flies great. Our hope is to get this to you all for the holidays. We're trying FSDS 3.51 for the first time and it is presenting a few challenges
Best to all Paul
