"Mporokoso" sounds like a tropical skin disease!
Of course, you blew away the "Good grief! Is there anything Dan doesn't know?!!" incredulous look on my face when reading all that stuff, by adding the P.S.
Foolish lad....you had us all going for a minute! ;D

"Mporokoso" sounds like a tropical skin disease! Bruce It is Bruce! I woke up the other morning with a rash on my hands and it is now spreading all over! The locals call it the "Poro-Koso Curse" - very similar to poison Sumac. Apparently a metamorphosed skin disease dating back to prehistoric dinosaurs of the Jurassic period. If not eradicated, one can develop scales and eventually avian feather like appendages similar to that of the evolutionary "Jurassic Chicken". www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2002/10/021031071204.htmAnd, according to local legend, the 'only' cure to eradicate the disease is lots and lots of - yup, you guessed it " GIN". So, while unsightly to look at, I'm have a great time here getting irrigated, waiting for the 150 repairs to be completed - hope they take a couple more days . . . Dan P.S. Oh the power of Google! …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

LOL!! ;D ;D You've really got a wild imagination, Dan.......weirder than mine, in fact! And that P.S. is spot-on. No wonder hard-bound encyclopaedic reference has gone the way of your Jurassic dinosaurs. Bruce

Well, the rash is gone, the Gin is gone, and the 150 is ready to be gone!! ;D It's now time to fly and I couldn't be happier - enough time in one town is enough! I've got the plane loaded up with a case of Dino-Jerky (they say it's much better on Safaris then Beef-Jerky), a box of cigars, and lots of cold brew immersed in dry ice. ;D We had to move it from the Mporokoso airport to a field, since they don't allow the air-exportation of alcoholic beverages, not sure why, apparently some kind of customs thing. The payload weight is 657 lbs - supposedly that's 216 lbs over the limit, but how do they know what my limit is . . . I can typically drink a lot more then that! Here she is - all shined up with new Michelin's, new Jurassic leather seats (it's really the 'in' thing now), and a snappy new set of double braided Rhino seat belts! Sure does smoke a lot though - they said they used Dinosaur crude - suppose to be the 'real' deal . . . Well, here we go - why does it seem like my rear is dragging Hell, I told them to load the heavy brew upfront and the light beer in the back - they didn't . . . Come on . . . baby, a little more . . . phew, airborne. I knew she could do it! Now what . . . something doesn't seem right! Holey Moley - they only put gas in one wing . . . Well, it actually doesn't feel to bad - kinda like I feel when I'm staggering out of the local pub - a little off kilter, but flying high . . . Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

I really don't expect you to make the end of the journey, driving like that! ;D Bruce LOL ;D Neither do I, actually! I need to straighten up and fly right'!! That being said, I think I'll open up a brew and relax a bit. Still a long way to go . . . Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Ndola, that's what they call this place! I managed to trim her out along the way or was it the other way around!?! In any case, I lightened the load as best I could (can't believe how many cans are in a case nowadays), and it ended up to be a pleasant flight - all considered! While on approach/touchdown the tower kept 'yelling' to put my nose down - if they had only known . . . Got up early, traded most of the beer for gas, 3 dozen donuts, and the best coffee I've tasted in years!! ;D Now, this is just nice - early morning, fresh air, hot coffee, and lots and lots of donuts! It's onto Zimbabwe for lunch in Victoria Falls! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

That last panorama is just fabulous, Dan. Reminds me of a coal cellar on a dark night. Enjoy Victoria Falls but don't be tempted by natives selling barrels! Bruce

Well . . . Bruce, having never been in a "coal cellar" let alone one on a dark night . . . all I can say is, I'm enjoying the donuts (buttermilk ones are great) and so much so, that I could imagine enjoying them even in a dark cellar - just wouldn't be able see which kind I was picking out . . . Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Upon request, Hook - here you go! ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dOfP_G1iiMWith that tune playing on the 150's 4Track, I rolled right into Victoria Falls in a great mood! Gased up, got lunch (McDonald's) and took off before Bruce's natives could roll out their barrel! Flew around looking for Victoria Falls - couldn't find her - apparently she had a fall and couldn't get back up . . . So, I put in the tape again and pointed south. I could swear I saw this same dried up marsh on National Geographic - where's all the wildebeests? Johannesburg - flatter then Kansas out here Didn't , but oh the smell I need to pull over and change . . . Mountain range ahead Nice - looks like East London after dark - where's my coffee East London From sunup to sundown - a long long day! So, I'm off to get a big steak of some sort, a bottle of chilled wine, and a good nights sleep - for tomorrow is another day . . . Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Had a great dinner and some great California wine - in Africa no less! Got up early and got breakfast 'to go' - 3 McDonald's Egg McMuffins (1 Canadian Bacon, 1 Regular Bacon, & 1 with Sausage - I still can't decide, after all these years, which one I like best .), a thermos full of coffee (not as good as what I got in - wherever it was that I got the good stuff), and a cherry filled Danish! Filled up the 150 and headed out - looks like a great day to fly! ;D Beautiful day in fact, crisp morning air, light winds, perfect . . . Interesting landscape here - looks like rolling waves of sand Decided to break from the flight plan and follow the coast . . . Landed at George for a coffee refill & another Danish - they had the coffee, but no Danish Scenery is better though Just around the corner . . . they tell me! I think I'll savor the final moments now . . . almost there! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

I know, it's funny now! It was really bad, Bruce! I was just glad I'd bought a pair of new Safari type Khaki pants in Alexandria when I was there. Actually, I really look cool now - just need one of those old Safari hats. Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D
