Hello All,
Sorry, I had to take a couple of evenings away from NAT. Did a scenery for Beana51, Fort Ticonderoga. It came out fairly well for just spending about two hours on. Anyway, back to the meat of this subject. I have completed testing for Day Four of the tour. Left at 11:00 a.m. from Bradford, Pa for Butler-Pittsburgh Airport, about 20 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh. Spent two hours on the ground meeting with the crowds. Then at 1300 hours local, took off for Scott Field, Wheeling, WV in Yorkville, Ohio.
Here's some screen shots......
1. Looking at of the hangar at Bradford, Pa.
2. Taxing past the Pepsi Truck, now where's that Jack Daniels Truck....
3. Smoke to left, smoke to right, time to go........
4. Nice view, a lake in the distance near central Pa.
5. Butler-Pittsburgh surround by orchards and easy to find with spotlights.
6. Setting up down wind for landing............
7. Just making sure I'm at the right airfield.
8. The parking area for NAT is clearly visible.....
9. A little to low, don't want to hit the tress, 30 minute penalty......
10. Down on the ground and taxiing...........
11. So nice of the crew to open the doors............
12. Approaching Scott Field over the Ohio River.
13. Let's make a pass to see if we're at the right spot......
14. There's the name on the hangar, just like the description....
15. Look at the old hangars...........
16. There's where we park........
17. Doors open, let's stop.
Planning out Day Five, Norton Field near Columbus, Ohio, then off to my home town, Huntington, West Virginia.
Will be available soon.....
