Like many of you Im sure, I love Lynn and Bill's Piper PA-23 Apache model. It's simply one of my favorites. However, I've recently felt the need to install some more modern avionics and I'd experiencing major difficulties.
Virtual cockpits are not something I'm 100% familiar with, but even with FS Panel Studio I cannot seem to figure out the areas and ways in which gauges are shown. Specifically, I am trying to place an ADF gauge and a King AP gauge somewhere in the cockpit but the only time I can get them to show is when I literally place them smack on top of an already existing gauge. If I try to move them around and away from te gauge upon which they are sitting, they "slip behind" the VC panel and become invisible.
Please, I need your help! What do I do?

I can't help you with VC modding, except to tell you that Bill mapped it to fit his gauge layout so what you see as blank space may not be mapped and therefore unusable. Coincidentally though, Mark McCoy has uploaded a new PA-23 panel at Avsim. Perhaps you could use that or perhaps it would help you to make what you want. Well, I guess it was more than a coincidence LOL. Yep, that was me. After some long thought and hard work, I was able to figure out the only blank space on Bill's VC panel and adapted an AP controller and a DME display gauge. That's it! There's plenty of visual space, but none that's usable unless a gauge is replaced.. and most of them are circular and have a static "glass shine" for realism.
