Can't remember if anyone else mentioned this video, but just in case... Using archival photographs, film and newsreel footage from around the country as well as from private photo and film collections (much of which has never been seen before) the producers have brought back to life the “golden age” of air racing. The legendary men and women pilots, aircraft designers and planes are covered in depth year by year. The thrills, the drama and the excitement are all part of this remarkable documentary. See the pilots set the records while the event itself sets its own records. With routinely 100,000 attendees each day, the National Air Races was one of the top attended events of the time. The film is 130 minutes divided into chapters by year, so it is very easy to watch. This is available from the Internation Womens Air & Space Museum womensairandspacemuseum.com/eshop/
