I did my own tests with this bloom last year and it wasn't very satisfying; may be I have not understood how to configure it.
I'll have to give it chance again.

I've been watching this on a couple of other sites, as well. While the planes look great - I'm not sure about the brightness of the landscape, especially the horizon. Interesting indeed, though. I'm going to have to watch some more before I start tinkering . . . Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

I've played around with the settings myself in FsX. I still can't get it quite right in that the darkening is a little too much. I'll keep playing because I like the effect.

I really liked what it did in the VC but when I used a pop up of the GPS it jumped to that and bleached the screen out to pale yellow. It also stopped working in the VC from that point and may have caused a memory leak as well. Jury is still out on the last but I haven't had an out of memory since I removed it.

My experience with it was rather like Tom's. I tried it in FS9 and rather liked how it looked, but when I opened up several popups, mainly the gps and engine gauges which I keep on my second monitor while flying, the bloom jumped to that and would no longer work on my main monitor were I had the VC.

I tried it in FSX and didn't really see much difference but then I don't have a good eye for graphics.
